We decided to try out a local hotspot after a long afternoon of yard work. We didn’t feel like sitting in, so we got take-out so we could go home and relax.
My husband ordered us both personal size pizzas online, and it seemed like a pretty simple process. It gave us the time for pick up and we made it there a little early, but I assumed if the pizza wasn’t done, at least we would get it hot.
The line was out the door with people who were looking to eat in and pick up. I probably waited outside for about ten minutes before making it into the building, simply because the inside was already so crowded and I wanted to have space to breathe.
Let me just start by saying this place is REALLY small. If I had to guess, about 50-60 people could be seated at one time, assuming the exact amount of people needed were sat at each table. There’s a huge bar off to the left, a barrier in the center to separate the tables, and then booths on the the right. The host and pick up area are right in the front, causing some congestion.
Personally, I probably wouldn’t eat in unless it’s during one of their slower times. I wouldn’t want to be seated near the front and have others hanging over me while they wait for their order or to be seated.
The workers were all extremely nice and friendly and asked me several times the name on the order.
I was pretty disappointed when we got our order. There’s a nook behind the checkout counter where they keep pick up orders, and I saw a pizza over there sitting by itself and on top of what looked like salad or wing containers. I assumed it wasn’t ours, but after waiting for almost 20-30 minutes (excluding the time spent outside) for the order, they brought a pizza from the back and stacked it on top of the pizza I saw that was in the nook and handed it to me. When I took it out to the car, we checked it and it was already cold. At this point, we had already waited awhile for food, so we didn’t ask for a new one.
I know some would say to just heat it up, but it’s not the same as eating fresh baked pizza, or when you choose to pick it up because you want to have it fresh. The other pizza was still warm when we got home, and that’s the pizza pictured. It was the Hawaiian style pizza, which was delicious.
I’m just really surprised they didn’t have somewhere to keep the pizza hot until both orders were complete, or that they weren’t able to time it out so they could be finished at the same time, especially since this is supposed to be a pizza place.
We might give it one more shot, but overall, I was pretty disappointed it wasn’t a...
Read moreService was good. Took a few minutes to be approached and seated after standing at their counter and being seen. Our server was nice and kept our drinks topped off and attentive to bringing us boxes and the check fast.
The food sucked, I thought I was getting punk'd. Unfortunately we stopped here to get a bite to eat before our movie, 1 1/2 hour early, the food took so long to get to us there wasn't any possibility of getting our order corrected or replaced, and do I really want to go through that hassle? Any replacement food would have taken 30 min, and after seeing my food I didn't trust they could cook anything but a pizza right. They were all out of wings on a game night.
The mozzarella stick appetizer was good and thank god I ordered it or I would have left starving.
My burger was not worth eating, I ended up feeding it to my dogs when I got home (onion scrapped off ofc). Ordered the bacon guac burger with fries. It was some wierd wrinkled chewy ciabata bun. Shredded limp lettuce. Chopped red onion. The tiniest dollop of flavorless brown guac. And like 4 bits of soft chopped bacon, the kind you'd sprinkle over a salad. The cheese must have run away because I couldn't find it. Don't forget the tough frozen meat patty. Had to specify medium when the server didn't ask, which was my first warning sign I guess. It came out as medium as a frozen patty can be. This place should be ashamed to call it a burger when they obviously used their sub bread and toppings to frankestein it together.
The fries were tasty, but soggy and mash potato textured. Not crispy at all. Luckily I still like fries like that. Ketchup to the rescue.
My husband's meatball sub (which he graciously shared with me, thank you honey) was similarly disappointing. We ate a few bites before asking for the check and deciding to try our luck with movie popcorn instead. The bread was good, soft and warm, the banana peppers were the normal kind from a jar. The tomato sauce was simultaneously too sweet and completely flavorless, plus had been under the hot lamp so long it was dried up, or else they just did a few ketchup sized squirts of it. Very little cheese melted over the sauce. The meat ball tasted like meatball, but it was chopped up? Shaved? Tasty enough. But we're the type for a hefty meatBALL sub soaked in a bright tomato sauce and melted cheese, not whatever this thing was. Just a dry and disappointing sandwich. Everything had been under the heat lamp.
The place was loud but its a sport bar so I expected that. Ladies...
Read moreI was dinning in around 1: 15pm, on a Tuesday afternoon. My children and I was enjoying a pizza before I took my babies to the movies. We was in a corner minding our own business. My babies are 2 years old. My niece is 9. In the midst of our order being ready, a white male yells!! can you make your child shut up loudly, I immediately felt attacked as a mother that is not something you want to endure while enjoying a hot summer afternoon. I replied no I can not, I don't know one toddler that doesn't express themselves , if you have an issue with that you should of stayed home for a quiet meal. A young lady came up and tried to calm him down bc he felt as if my children and I which are African amaerican should not be able to enjoy a meal there. I never once heard the owner apologize to me for his actions until I requested to speak to him. They did not make the man leave for verbally assaulting A toddler. I stayed and completed my meal but I felt watched the entire time. I felt a presence that the owner was more afraid to loose him as a customer than myself. I WILL NEVER EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. I HOPE YOU ALL BE CAREFUL WHEN ENTERING THIS establishment. The service was rushed after the situation and the later apology wasn't genuine at all. My babies had to endure something that could of easily been handled more appropriately. Rudinos support racism and bullying on toddlers. Not deserving of others...
