I have done curbside pick up probably 10 times in the past 6 months for breakfast. I quit because it would take way over 15 minutes for someone to walk the food out every single time.
Why? Because they have one person working the register and they had to take care of the customers inside first.
Because of this, I started walking inside and getting it myself after waiting 10 minutes. I would walk up to the to go shelving and STILL have to wait for the customers paying their checks to be done first.
Here is the problem; I am tipping and they don't care that my food was always cold, that I would have to wait for so long, and I have never been given an apology. So - I stopped ordering for about 2 months.
BUT- I ordered pancakes last week. I really love their blueberry pancakes and I just cannot replace the taste anywhere else.
Obviously, I didn't choose curbside because of the past problems. I chose pick up inside for the order. I didn't go to the to go shelving, I got in line. That way I knew I would be served before someone else got in line from the dining room.
I will tell you it was already chaos.
The person working the register already had a manager there working on the customer who decided that she wanted a refund on her debit card and wanted to instead pay with a gift card. That felt like 10 minutes until she decided she should take the next person.
So, the person working the register left that register and opened another one to get the next in line. The next gentleman was older with a cane and didn't understand how to use the card payment method so the person working the register had to show him how. That felt like 10 minutes.
Then the next two people asked to add a to go order to their breakfast. It had not yet been delivered to them when they were finished eating so she had to explain it would be coming from the kitchen directly to the shelving which is the pick up area by the register. Which was the perfect explanation, but the lady didn't understand and wanted to take the order off and then decided to keep it. Then she had trouble with her card and had to use another card. That felt like 10 minutes.
Then the next person was me. I walked up there, gave her my name, she handed me my bag and ACTUALLY apologized for the wait. I walked out. That was less than a minute.
I got out of the car at 1036a. I got back in my car at 11:09a. I did not look at anything in the store - just got straight in line.
Every single time I have gone there I have tipped online. FOR ALL of the times my breakfast has been ice cold I have left a tip when ordering and ultimately said thanks for serving me cold food and making me wait - not to mention losing time at work - but because it is pre-tip you can't take it back!
I will never go back because for the first time in my life I felt like I was going to explode. I wanted to make a huge fuss... so....
This is my review, good luck with Curbside and good luck with Pick Up. They do not have the front staffed. When help is given it's because the customers are morons. They have no care or concern about cold food. Multiple times my stapled closed bag was missing food requested. Multiple times my stapled closed bag was missing...
Read moreThe kitchen has roaches. I've seen roaches crawling across the steam table where the hot food is served, across countertops,on dishes, etc. They don't thoroughly clean the grill, they say it's to keep the grill, "seasoned"🤢🤮 The employees don't wear gloves, because the company says it costs too much money to replace gloves consistently. The cooks don't wash their hands frequently,if at all. The managers and servers speak to the black employees as if they're slaves on a plantation. I worked here for two weeks and I was constantly bullied and verbally attacked by Robbie, the manager. My first week of training I was sent home because I stood up for myself against the manager. He apologized to me the next shift I worked, but then a few days later, the same manager, Robbie sent me home because he said I didn't acknowledge him when he spoke to me,but I honestly didn't know that he was speaking to me, as I had my back turned, busy working to get the tickets out. I explained that I didn't know he was talking to me as he did not say my name. I really thought he was talking to one of the other cooks. And it's very comical because on my first day of training I witnessed a cook that has been with the company for seven years, curse Robbie out like a dog, and he was not reprimanded or sent home. But I was asked to leave because I didn't acknowledge him speaking to me behind my back. The managers have really big egos and power trip. They are very unprofessional and only hold their management titles because they started out as servers and dish washers and worked their way up to management. And it shows that they clearly lack the professionalism to lead others efficiently and effectively to make for a great work place. They make it a very hostile working environment. They have their favoritism for employees and they run the new employees away. Cracker Barrel is a joke and I have lost all respect for them in the community. Their management really live up to all the rumors of this place being...
Read moreWe had gone on Memorial day around 10:30ish. It wasn't very packed. Almost every other table unaccompanied. We were greeted at the door. We put our names down. The hostess said 5 t o 10 min wait. Ok, I went to the rest room and by the time I was walking out, Our names were called. We sat, about 5 min . Waiter came over, we gave our drink order as well as food order. About 8 to 10 minutes passed (we got 2 waters) not what we ordered, mine was a coke, and coffee and my husband's was hot cocoa and a water! After flagging my waiter down, I asked for my coffee and coke please! Again about 5 ish pry more minutes passed. I got my coffee, my table had no sugar, I asked for sugar and creamer, didn't get any. I had to tap the shoulder ofvthe table behind us. To see if i could at least get sugar? He was all to happy to help. Stating, I "wonder why the bad service today". Then shrugged and they got up and left. We waited and were ignored for 48 minutes. I finally got up and grabbed a "training" manager/waitress explained we just wanted a check. It rediculas were waiting so long for our pancakes!! She apologized and had me explain to her our ordeal. I did, several more folks were also unhappy with their orders. My husband suggested we leave. So, we started to walk up to the front. When our waiter said" I can reorder your food"" No that's ok, he then stated the kitchen staff was amess.!! We walked to the front. We tried to buy the outfit I had the cashier hold. She asked for my receipt!! Inside were leaving. We didn't get food. She immediately called for a manager. Making sure we didn't skimp out on our bill (I'm assuming)!! I said no really, we didn't get served. The couple beside us was also mad, he refused to pay for awful service, cold food and messed up order. It was...
