The single worst Wendy's in the history of Wendy's. Everytime I go there I swear it will be the last but, time passes, I forget, I get to be disappointed all over again. Tonight was one of those nights.
I pull into the drive through, there are 3 cars ahead. I watch as they only take one order, send that car to the window, assumably they get their food and drive off. Then, and only then, do they take the order of the next car. It takes forever but, of course, I eventually get to place my order, oh wait...
"Our credit card processor is down. We can only take cash." Mind you, the drive through is a single lane with no way out. Luckily I have some cash. I place my order and head to the window. They take my money then ask me to drive around to the door. You see, they have a set amount of time to get you away from the window. It affects their performance review if they fail. OK, I think about saying "no", I have in the past, but I don't want them to spit in my food so off I go. And, what do I find at the door? That's right... all three of the cars that were ahead of me when I got there.
So I wait, and I wait, and I wait I watch the first two cars get their food and leave. A car comes behind me but pulls out without waiting. I guess they didn't have cash. The third car is getting their food. No, wait! He's heading my way. Oh, how disappointed car number three must be right now. But I don't care about car number three, I have lost all human compassion. I want my food. My order is here. I roll down the window. He hands my my food. Thank you God!
You didn't actually think they got my order right did you? This is the North East , MD Wendy's. They don't get orders right. So I wait some more. 32 minutes, 33 minutes, 34 minutes... I'm inventing new, vile, things to say to him when he returns, but I don't. I'm tired. I'm hungry. He gave me a cookie. I take my food. I leave.
I will not be back. That is until I forget how bad this place is. Then I'll get to be disappointed...
Read moreI placed a mobile order tonight. When we picked it up to take home from the drive-thru, I checked our bags, and we were missing 2 orders of 10 piece chicken nuggets (spicy). We had to go in and get them. When we got home and started opening everything, I was extremely angry to see that the Double Pretzel Pub burgers (2 of them) I ordered were just regular bacon cheeseburgers with barbeque sauce...no pretzel bun, no cheese sauce, no crispy onions, only 1 burger patty (the bun got mushy on mine, so my dog got it). The nuggets we ordered that they left off before were NOT the spicy ones we ordered...just plain. The chili cheese baked potatoes (x2) were ordered with bacon on them...no bacon was on them. I figure that this place took a good bit of my money for the left off/wrong items. This is the very LAST time I go here. I figured it would be better after the remodel, since it was never the best Wendy's, but it was even worse. This place proves why fast food workers don't earn a $15/hr salary...they can't even get your order right, and it was a mobile order, so it wasn't like you had an issue with not being able to hear the order, or understand the order through...
Read moreI placed a mobile order well over an hour before the drive thru closed. When I get there the person taking orders said that the register crashed and to pull around again in 5 minute- so I did. I sat the mic waiting to be helped for over 10 minutes- at which that point I moved up to the window- where both of the employees inside walked back to the window multiple times- clearly looking at me- and than walking away- after sitting there for 25 minutes I got out of my car and opened the window and asked if someone was going to help me or give me a refund for my order since they clearly weren’t up for working tonight. It was completely unprofessional- yes I know it’s a fast food joint- either way. Train your staff better- maybe don’t hire prick little teenagers who don’t want to actually do their job. Don’t advertise that your drive thru is open until 12am everyday if your workers are really going to use a lame excuse of the registers not working when in reality they just don’t want to work. Maybe they shouldn’t be paid since they weren’t really working anyways - absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had from any fast food joint- which says a lot because McDonalds...
