This place is ran by teenagers. I have been coming here since they've opened. When I worked in Cheshire I used to go to Chef's Bagels, which is the best bagel place around. I have never been to an establishment that has gotten in order wrong so many times in my life. My order is pretty simple, everything bagel toasted well, bacon egg and cheese with crispy bacon. Every other establishment I've ever been to In My Life when it comes to Bagels rarely got this wrong. Bagelicious 2 is 5 times out of seven they get it wrong. Every time I order I know I'm just rolling the dice. Lately when I have been calling in they have not picked up the phone, I have even called as a social experiment more than 15 times in 15 minutes, to no avail. I figured when I drove by there that their parking lot must be packed but they must be slammed with walk-ins, this is not the case. They are just a bunch of teenagers who don't like to do their job. today I walked in after calling a number of four times as I walked in the phone was ringing, of course , but nobody was picking up. There was only three cars in the parking lot including mine the place was empty. It really stinks spending my hard-earned money just to get my order wrong all the time. I love having a place to get breakfast in the morning right before work it's always been a ritual of mine everywhere I've lived. The woman who runs the place Donna is a great woman and I feel if they had some people who are a little bit older more responsible and took their job seriously, it would be a great place. I have complained multiple times in person to Donna and I've gotten free bagels for it, which I am very grateful. I can no longer go there anymore though it's a waste of time and it's a waste of money it's getting to the point of disrespect. They have great bagels and when they get your order right it's a good thing. But you cannot expect consistency at this...
Read moreFirstly thanks for the bagels. Customer service was decent. 3 stars are for their online ordering system needing some work. Fix the dozen and half dozen order pages! It only let us choose one flavor so we just head over.
The bagels we managed to get at 11am on a Sunday were not only limited but somehow while in line the bagels I was asking for were being promised to online orders?! They closed the drive through but that did not affect us. Most frustrating because we attempted to pre-order an hr ahead and their ordering tool for half a dozen bagels has a drop down menu but only lets you choose one flavor. Who wants all one flavor?
Bagels are fluffy and good but they were our last flavor choice. Did I mention they WERE good?? We were starving so seriously I'm not ungrateful! Fluffy crispy tasty.
This place and Cohen's in Madison: two epic bagel makers. Both spots: last remaining bagels are ALWAYS: Cheddar, Jalapeno Cheddar, asaigo and blueberry. It seems to me the pattern would lead to bagel shops producing less of these bagels and more of classics like poppyseed, everything and plain which sell out. they should at least toss the bagels promised to online orders into a bin where customers in line can't see them! :( Not only is this a bummer to customers who can SEE what they want but I can't imagine the amount of frustration this makes for their employees with having to deliver that bad news. What we did get on two bagels was some very good cream cheese. Other reviews mention the drive through is often closed and on Sunday brunch time it was closed. We did not try to call but I can see why: calling and online ordering seem like the best way to miss out on what you want. Sounds like you've got to be here within the hour they open to get the bagel you envision for a...
Read moreI just had the first time WORST experience at Bagelicious in North Haven, CT (9:30 A.M.). I'm listing the time so the manger knows who was on the register and she needs to be retained. I went inside to order a toasted bagel with cream cheese (barely toasted and globs of cream cheese) and two bagels in a bag. I waited and waited and I was #10 and several numbers were called ahead of mine which were after the #10. I asked nicely the girl at the counter if she knew how much longer for my bagel to come out. The response I got was "this is not Dunkin Donuts". Oh I responded by "you think I don't know that and if I wanted Dunkin Donuts I would have went there". Keep in mind this was my very FIRST visit and I will tell you now it will be my LAST visit. What the heck happened to good customer service? The mangers are certainly not training their staff properly. All I can chalk it up to is that the younger generation have such entitled attitudes and no good home training. Then these business wonder why they don't stay in business. If I'm spending my money I expect good customer service and not attitude. After she made that statement I almost made her refund my money. To the manager at this particular store (North Haven, CT) please retrain your staff to treat the customers with respect when they are buying items or asking a question. My business keeps them employed and your establishment in business. Thank...
