Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in North Haven

Full disclosure: I have only been to this DQ over two hundred years, two times. Today, Saturday 3/26/22, was one of them. I stopped on my way around to drive up and saw Blizzard Sea Salt, Toffee and Fudge. I was the only car. As I pulled up, I saw a sign to order at the back fence. I started to back up when a hand from the Order Window beckoned me on. I pulled up and ordered after I asked and was told the sizes. LARGE for $5.+. Transaction completed. Drove 3 blocks home. Weather in the 40s. No heat on in car. Came in. Settled down to have ice cream in what, in the "old days" would be considered a medium size cup. The ice cream was melted liquid. The "fudge" was not fudgy and was mushy. If there was toffee in the "large" cup I never found it. And when reaching the bottom of the liquid ice cream, there was a large "glop" of the fudge. Would I order it again? NO. Would I stop in another hundred years for DQ ice cream? NO. I gave 2 stars because the young woman who took my order and my money was courteous....

The manager (a male) on 9/16 at 335pm shut the window in my face because they made a mistake with my order. I paid extra for snickers in my blizzard and there was barely any snickers in it. He stated “I am not going to be your emotional punching bag” as I tried to EXPLAIN there is always an issue with my order when I go there. Last time, they put peanuts in my husbands blizzard and he’s ALLERGIC to peanuts. We made it all the way home by the time we noticed so we let it go and THANK GOD we had Benadryl to administer for his reaction. The BLATANT DISRESPECT today is UNBELIEVABLE. Place is OPEN until 10pm. I arrived with my bf around 9.50pm, ordered pecan mudslide and got it without whipping cream. So, I asked if I can get it and the girl who works there told me that next time I should ask ahead of time bc it doesn't come with it and I told her that no matter where I went to DQ I got one with whipping cream. Couple of days after I went there again and ordered strawberry shake and got it again without whipping cream even though on the pick was presented with one. Had to ask again... something so simple... my bf started laughing bc he couldn't believe it.. however, we r not going to go...
