On August 15, 2025, I visited the Hamden, CT Staples location at approximately 4:30 PM to have four documents printed. I spoke with the store manager, Leah, regarding the possibility of same-day or rush printing. I explained that in the past, I have been able to request and pay for rush service when needed. During our interaction, I attempted to share that my request was for only four documents and that I had an important event the following day. Unfortunately, I was interrupted while speaking and was informed that no exceptions could be made due to the back-to-school rush. While I fully understand that this is a busy time of year, I felt that my concerns and circumstances were dismissed rather than acknowledged in a respectful manner. What was most disappointing was that the conversation ended in a way that left me feeling mocked and disrespected, as both the manager and another associate laughed as I expressed my dissatisfaction. This experience left me feeling undervalued as a customer, and I no longer feel comfortable returning to this branch. I am sharing this feedback in the hope that it is taken constructively, as I believe professionalism and courtesy go a long way in maintaining customer trust...
Read moreI’d give 0 stars if I could. I came in to process an Amazon return, which was a liquid item in a plastic bottle. The woman processing returns told me, I can’t take it it’s leaking. She pointed to a nonexistent spot on the desk and said there’s the liquid. It wasn’t there. I turned it upside down, it didn’t leak. She told me that she couldn’t accept it, even when Amazon provided me with the QR code for the return. She then claimed she had to ask her manager for approval, and got angry when he told her to put it in 2 or 3 bags. She grabbed the item, roughly handled it while putting tape on it to make it leak, and then complained again. She was muttering all sorts of things under her breath which were definitely not pleasantries, and she slammed my package around and into the box. She grabbed my receipt and slammed it on the table, didn’t even look at me. I didn’t know someone could be so upset about an Amazon return…when they don’t work at Amazon. I hate giving such a low review because this staples has been great otherwise but this woman...

Copy center: Beware (VERY) slow machines. They take awhile to process payment for each page as it is copied. Something about the connection between the credit card reader and the computer/OS is clunky. They were not always this bad.
Not recommended for any outside-the-box printing projects, especially if you want to do and/or control them yourself. They only offered one thickness of paper in the machines. Short of buying a ream of specialty paper for the 14 pages I needed to copy, I could do nothing to change the default paper thicknesses and sizes in the self-service copy machine.
Don't ask them to slice anything on the paper slicer for you. It is upward of $1 a page. I'm giving 3 stars, not 1, because a kind employee at the copy center also found the paper slicing fee ludicrous and offered me a massive (83%) "discount." Otherwise it would have been $18 to slice 14 pages of 24lb 1117s...
