First time ordering from Soga Sushi via their online order placement (made an account and everything) very easy to choose items online and plan your meal for “pick up”with option to “pay upon pick up”. no updates or call or email regarding food readiness but that’s ok- I just showed up 35/45 mins after I placed order and food was waiting for me- ordered some rolls, hibachi dinner, miso soup (wish they have a liter option for purchase - super yummy) and general Tso. everything was flavorful, felt fresh, well packed, fairly priced and good enough portions. Recentlyish moved to Wallingford and haven’t been brave enough to try any of the Chinese places nearby (a lot of mixed reviews and bad ones) but I think Japanese is definitely a go to! Upon pick up interior of restaurant looked clean and welcoming with a mellow atmosphere - would definitely consider dining in. Overall a win!

This is one of the best little sushi restaurants around CT! Ive been to a lot of sushi joints around the state and this is at the top of my list. The sushi chefs know what they're doing and are so beyond nice, always asking how everything is and they don't hesitate to correct anything that may be wrong. The quality of the fish they use ishigher than other delicious places ive been. The color is nice and bright and it melts in your mouth. The staff is super friendly, too. This a great little hole in the wall place in an unassuming shopping plaza. Its worth a try if you like going to different sushi restaurants!

I thought it was another one of those fake Japanese restaurants but I was impressed. It’s a bit expensive but you pay for the quality. I’ve visited Japan quite a few times and have roamed its streets looking for good food. This place is not purely Japanese — hence the word “fusion” in its characterization. Yet they do an excellent job putting new touches to Japanese creations. Their fish is fresher and cuisine more innovative than Sonobana — my long time favorite in CT. Yes, the chefs are not Japanese — and usually that’s a bad sign — but I’m impressed by their good skills and impeccable service.

Not only is this one of the best choices in the area for delicious and amazing sushi, but they are also super in tune to special requests. We have been ordering from them for years and avoiding anything with “crunch” due to a gluten allergy. But after ordering one night and on a whim asking for a roll to be “without crunch” and it came just so, we then tried the next time for a few others and indicated that there was a gluten allergy. To our surprise and overjoyed exuberance, the food arrived with a container of soy sauce marked Gluten Free. We had not asked for that nor expected it but it was so above and beyond that this restaurant has proven without a doubt that we will be loyal to them for years to come. Fantastic folks, genuine food, and an amazing customer service attitude mean if you are not eating at Soga Sushi you are surely...

Not the worst, but nowhere near the best. This was my first time ordering from Soga. The kani salad was mostly cucumber & crunch with very little crabmeat. I ordered 3 rolls, 2 of the most popular (according to uber eats). The North Haven roll was good. Double crunch roll had way too much rice. The 3rd roll was not even what I ordered because they sent me the wrong thing. They also forgot my mochi. I ordered spicy mayo which they charge extra for, kinda ridiculous since most places don’t charge for condiments & it tasted mostly like mayo no spice at all. Overall the food was fresh, but bland & not worth the money. I’m mad I paid a $6 delivery fee, but hey guess I learned my lesson: Never Uber Eats from a new place when you are...
