Waffles, INCaffeinated, North Huntingdon — Restaurant in North Huntingdon Township

The food was good service was ok but I had to give an overall 2 stars because of my experience. I went on June 1 with a party of 6. Nina G was my server. The place wasn’t too full but we waited quite a few times for different things. I paid cash for my meal and my tip. My sis wasn’t able to use Apple tap so she asked if I can use my debit card while she Cashapp me the funds. I wrote in 0 with a line in it for her tip. On June 3 my account was debited an extra $10 and I also got a fraud call from my bank that someone tried to use my card for an online purchase for $293. I hadn’t used my debit card in a while since I was going on vacation the next few days . So I had to cancel my card and go on vacation without it because it wouldn’t be back in time. I emailed the company/owner and still haven’t heard back from them. When I 1st called the store, I was told my receipt already left the store. The 2nd time I called Gigi was kind and professional and said she would call the owner herself but found my receipt.Still no call back. She also offered to refund the 10 to my card but I had to wait for the card. Then I call back and I talk to Amanda or Ashley (can’t remember) but she was nice, apologetic and also informed the owner. While on the phone with her I get a text with my so called receipt but with it my 0 with the line crossed out has a line next to it as if it could be misinterpreted as the number 10. This is the narrative they gave me. I was pissed because to me this is not my 0 and also I had a zero in the total so I’m looking at two different 0’s that look nothing alike. Furthermore I wrote in the total, without this $10.. So I’ll leave it to you to do the math. Someone stole my money, someone tried to use my card for personal use, I had to go on vacation extremely inconvenient without a debit card and till this day the owner still hasn’t reached out to me or any type of manager, besides the 2 ladies that I spoke to. I haven’t been compensated in any way and it’s been weeks. This wasn’t even my bill and any company that takes theft lightly is a problem. And if and I say if this was the same person who tried to make online charges this is a bigger issue and these companies need to be held accountable. I feel completely violated and if my bank didn’t alert me this would’ve been a different story. So if you decide to dine in the Irwin/North Huntingdon restaurant, use cash because this waiter chose to write in her own tip not caring what financial situation someone is in. And if servers are held accountable then others will follow. Protect yourself and your money! As a customer who ends up a victim, you will be on your own. I’m considering legal action. Take a look at the receipt that got sent to me out of nowhere. Why would I write a zero in the tip with a line going thru AND put another line next to it so that it looks like a 10?? AND STILL WRITE THE SAME AMOUNT underneath. Or if you see the tip amount as a full zero it still doesn’t connect like the zero in the total amount. I did NOT write in that zero and I...

My wife and I visited Waffles INCaffeinated last week on a whim for our brunch date. It’s nice to see some additional restaurant options in the area, especially around my favorite meal type. My impressions of the venue are as follows:

1. Food tasted very good. I got a waffle with eggs and breakfast meats on it (and a side of bacon). The food tasted very good. I also got a bourbon flavor shot in my coffee which was very close enough to bourbon’s actual flavor profile. Very nice addition to my coffee. However, the quantity of food we received compared to the bill caught me off guard. 51 dollars?? My wife only got a waffle (that was on special) and a coffee too. While the food was good, the price point was unreasonable. I can get twice the amount of food at a local place for brunch, and actually leave feeling filled.
2. The venue is very cramped. Seating is very close together. Honestly if you’re on the heavier end of the weight spectrum you won’t enjoy walking through this place or sitting next to your neighbor. The lady behind me was practically touching me as I was sitting there - she moved over a seat to avoid that. But if you’re a party of 4, hope you like the person behind you. Honestly they could put a second floor in the place for as tall as it is, that would solve for some of the crowding, but I doubt that’s something the franchise would consider.

My takeaway is, the food tasted good (I have no complaints about the flavor and craft of the place), however I could honestly make my own waffle with fixings for a fraction of the cost. The staff were very pleasent, and I enjoyed the atmosphere once people started leaving and cleared up space. However under normal occupancy, it’s too cramped there. The Gluten free option is a big win for me. I have celiac disease and there isn't anyone in the area with Gluten-free Waffles.

1: The Gluten-free waffle was really good, plus you can build it any way you want.

2: I also got the crab omelet, it was cooked just right. Alot of places over cook their eggs, but not here. Keep up the good work.

3: When the home fries came out I wasn't sure if I was going to like them, because they're not the usual plain old potatoes everyone is used to They are mix of peppers onions several potatoes. The flavors mixed well with the omelet. These home fries are my new favorite.

4: service was good. Didn't have to wait. They checked on us to make sure we didn't need anything. And they brought the check in a timely manner. ( That seems to be a problem in alot of other restaurants).

5: Prices are little high, but as long as the QUALITY stays high, the PORTIONS are large and I'm not hungry when I leave, I will DEFINITELY be back.. ( Other restaurants in the area need to know if if you raise prices, cut quality and portions people won't come back).

It was nice to have a crab omelet and a Gluten-free Waffle. I only ever get these two options in O.C. when on vacation. Nice to see I have those options now here in our area.
