UPDATE: 7/18/2025 Still no response from Verizon and no follow up on the issues. BUYER BEWARE do not buy from this location and BEWARE Verizon does NOT follow up as they say in their automated message response. NO RESPONSE
Update: 6/18/2025 Still no response from Verizon and no follow up on this issue. Months now have gone by and Verizon just does not care if there stores have good customer service or not. Handicapped or not. You will be very disappointed if you choose Verizon. BEWARE!!!!! They don't CARE!!!! Note: I filled out the form they requested in their initial response TWICE and still no response.
Initial review: If I could give negative -10 on this review I would!!!!! Please enjoy reading my entire review... BEFORE you go to Verizon.
Beware of this location hassle city, corporate Verizon location Irwin PA and no customer service! Run to a different vendor for your phone service. Do not use Verizon.
Store is not handicapped friendly, chairs are all to high for disabled, or short individuals, or older individuals. NO place to sit while they take forever to find solutions and try to always upsell and lock you into a lengthy contract.
After 3 phone calls and 6 hours of my time trying to get a new phone sent for my 90 year old mom, which just stopped working for no reason I went to the corporate office in Irwin Pa. The manger refused to transfer her data from the old phone/ replacement that also failed ….to the new phone I had to buy and pay for…. Transfer fee regardless of the poor experience was $30 dollars he would not even just take care of that to help my 90 year old mom. He said he had to pay Matson the fee in order to process the phone data exchange. I declined and did it myself.
There is -0- customer service from Verizon
Select another vendor for your phone service that makes customer service their top priority not the $$$$$$$$ The money will come when you treat your customer right.
The phone calls (6 hours worth) were with individuals who were hard to understand and had to repeat information over and over terrible and did not help. Put people on the phone who will be able to help and empower them to find the solutions instead of sending to the store. DO NOT CALL ON weekends they are not there to answer the phone.
Largest disappointment is no one cared I was handicapped and the store only has high bar stools for customers to sit at when doing transactions Instead of regular chairs. Stop catering to non handicapped individuals. Ensure you have proper tables and chairs for handling transactions with ALL customer types.
Bar stools are not a good option for customer friendly environment.
This location is a corporate Verizon location…. Really poor customer service they do not care about the customer just the profit.
Verizon needs to train better for customer service and handicap seating.
5/8/2025 Update I followed the process below Verizon suggested to talk to Someone it has been 5 days no response at all. Even the corporate office who states below they are concerned do not get back to you.
Verizon is only after your money and locking you into a contract, beware and run away from this company! Do not buy your phone here or sign up for their phones lengthy contract. Go to a company that does not have contracts and you will be much happier.
The Name Verizon does not mean what it used to mean. I am a customer of 27 Years with Verizon and this is how they treated me. Just image if you were shopping for a phone vendor and you were brand new what will...
Read moreI understand that the majority of reviews are entered because of a negative experience and many do not add one because everything went as expected. So, I take that into account when I see a 3.5-star Google rating. But 1 is all I can offer because 0 is not an option. I was lied to. I asked a simple question; She, (my girl), needs a new phone and I want to add this number to my plan? I was told, $10.00 more. I said make it happen. They asked if I wanted the protection plan because I have it on my phone. I said yes without asking how much it was. It was $17.00. I’m fine with that. Here’s the breakdown of my new charges. The new number, I guess plus a new plan, although I never mentioned or was asked about a plan is $80.00 a month. Add the $17.00 protection, plus surcharges and taxes which come out to about a total of $116.00 a month. Don’t trust these people. Ask questions about the original cost statement they made during the process of providing your new services or product. These people never made anything clear to me about my protection cost price, the additional costs surcharges, and taxes. I understand those charges and would be okay with that if it was mentioned. It never was. I have no idea where the $80.00 plan came from. Ouch! There’s no way out now. The people at the Verizon billing help number can say I’m sorry you misperceived what you were told. I didn’t misperceive anything. If I heard this is my expected new monthly balance, once again I’d be fine with it, but they never said anything about it. I can go on and on, but I know what I was told, $10.00 more.
Oct. 27, 2022: I would love to try and resolve this. I entered this link into a Google search it says “the form was not found-it may have been deleted by another user”. I’m in Irwin all the time if you want to discuss the issue further.
Nov. 12, 2022: In late October I received a response from the dispute team after taking the route the owner of the Verizon, Irwin store suggested. Simply put, it’s a method to avoid further engagement. Although taking that route might help ease the pain Verizon clients have, or is that Verizon subjects, I wouldn’t bother. But give it a try anyway, maybe you’ll luck out. Bottom line, yup they lied to me and that would never be admitted. Maybe a better way to describe it is they purposely misled me. Or as they described it, I somehow misinterpreted what they meant. Like I said in my initial review, ASK QUESTIONS, again and again. So to my recollection, the $10.00 more a month was $10.00 more than my $70.00 plan, or, $80.00. Plus the $17.00 for the protection (which I accepted) is $97.00. Add on the surcharges and taxes, $10.00 more a month is in reality $104.00 a month. I do not have a problem with that, it is the principle of their process to deceive. My guess is it's part of the Verizon training. Good...
Read moreUnfortunately there is no option to give zero stars or I would. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a Verizon sales rep. I came in for a simple device upgrade to the Note 8. I dealt with Alisa today. She continued to try and sell me additional bundles and devices that I explicitly repeated I did not want. After waiting for 30 minutes when she went to go get my device I was upgrading to, she came out with 5 otter box cases. It was clear Alisa was trying to push as many products as possible even though I said I did not want them. She started to try and explain the bundles to me, and I told her that I would buy the case on Amazon where it was cheaper and would not like any accessories from Verizon. She then proceeded to tell me that my device with a crack would only be $29 to replace, with no insurance deductible, which was another lie. After I told her I just wanted to trade in the current device in the condition it was in, she tried to sell me another bundle with a tablet/hum. I told her I already had an iPad but she continued to keep forcing it down my throat. She went to the extent of lying to try and make it sound like there was not even a device charger included with the Note 8 I was upgrading to. Alisa is the perfect example of a harassing sales representative who does not listen to the customer. When I questioned her on what her commission was or what spiff she was getting for selling this bundle, she then panicked and called over what seemed to be a supervisor (Mike). Alisa said she was not allowed to disclose this information. Alisa was basically harassing me to try to buy this bundle with the case, glass, and wireless charger. I ended up leaving the store and will be reporting both Alisa and Mike to corporate based on this horrific experience. I will be switching from Verizon to another carrier. I was extremely disappointed as a sales representative the way I was treated and lied to. This place is an absolute disgrace as are the employees who work here. I would caution everybody to save their time and money and avoid this Verizon store in Irwin. Awful experience and awful management and sales rep (Alisa). Do not come to...
