Today I went shopping at this target with my fiance. When we were checking out she used her card to complete the transaction. There was an error with the card reader, so she tried again. The second attempt was also an error. At this time we think maybe there is something wrong with her card. We used my card and again it was unsuccessful. The cashier then shoves my card in the machine a second time. Another error occurs. While I was attempting to use my card my fiance is already checking the status of her card. Her account has two transactions for $208. So I check my account. I also have 2 transactions for 208 dollars. The p.o.s terminal obviously was malfunctioning. The employee goes to the manager "it's the new system" which was really suspect. I explain I'm not leaving the store until this situation is sorted out. They did not want to help in any way and basically said "call your bank, there's the door. Bye" We both call our financial institutions and are both told yes the charges occurred. So here we are out of pocket $832. There no proof this happened other than the video I recorded while asking the store manager for a written disposition of the event that occurred. I had to leave with no merchandise and a really salty...
Read moreI am not a regular customer of Target but wanted to place an order for a Christmas gift online for shipping to my home. Just like one may do at virtually any other retailer. For whatever reason, the product I wanted was not sold (not sold out - just not sold in our local store) in our closer location. Target does not ship everything the sell.
So, in order to receive my merchandise, Target made me drive to the North Huntingon store and pickup the order. Inconvenient and not an appealing online ordering experience in any way.
I would have gladly paid a shipping charge in exchange for convenience. Any company in 2021 that has alleged "online" shopping without shipping capabilities is right in there with the skeletal remains of the once mighty K-Mart chain - destined for the dustbin and not worth considering at all for future purchases.
If you are an in-store shopper, perhaps Target is the best place in the world to shop. However, if you are - like me - looking for a convenient and easy place to place an order online for a Christmas gift - keep looking. I did not enjoy online shopping at Target. I rate this experience as...
Read moreJust did my wedding registry there this weekend. The older lady at the customer service desk may be the most miserable and rudest person there. Not our first time dealing with her either. She is not pleasant with customers nor is she pleasant with coworkers. She talks down to them and is really nasty with her attitude. I would highly recomend her getting customer service training or stick her somewhere where she does not have to interact with customers. Totally ruined our experience with registering and made me think about not registering there. I still am thinking of canceling my registry because of it. It's ashame that customer service really is not the highlight of stores anymore. This is one many reasons why people prefer to shop online so they don't have to deal with nasty employees like this. I understand working in retail is not the greatest job as i work in retail myself but customer service and safety should be the number one priorities!!!!...
