My family and I are major fans of frozen custard because we used to go to another major franchise once in a while when we lived in the northern states (before moving to Las Vegas). Since that restaurant is not available in this city, we found another franchise that serves equally appetizing frozen custard desserts...FREDDY'S!! We stopped at this Freddy's location ~7:50 pm on 10 Jan 2024. We haven't been in this area for quite some time and were surprised to see Freddy's here because we're used to going to Freddy's at other locations in the valley. Needless to say, it was satisfying to notice this place right after our dinner venue at another restaurant down the street.
During this visit, we ordered the Regular Vanilla Sundae with Peanut Butter and Bananas; we also ordered the Mini Vanilla Concrete with Brownies and Bananas, and finally, the Regular Turtle Sundae. I was a little bummed out that the strawberries were still frozen because I normally get a sundae with strawberries and hot fudge. However, this is one time that I was glad it wasn't available because the Turtle Sundae was magnificent!
I was especially taken back with the presentation of our desserts because our previous visits at other Freddy's locations were less than adequate. This was obviously a result of hiring exceptional employees. Unfortunately, I didn't get the employee's name, but the young female cashier (with braces) who also prepared our dessert was superb! She was very friendly and worked at a remarkable pace, which I can't thank her enough considering I've dealt with a lot of slow moving employees even at "fast" food restaurants. So shout out to that employee (hoping management can utilize the visiting timeline to identify this stellar worker).
The one negative thing about this location were the dining room and bathroom cleanliness, or lack of. There was no one eating in that restaurant; only a handful of customers getting their food to-go, so it was surprising to see the tables still dirty. Also the men's bathroom seemed as though it wasn't cleaned in a couple of days. The price-to-quantity/quality ratio was extraordinary and I especially respect how this restaurant supports the men and women of the Armed Forces, to include its Veterans. If you haven't been here before, you definitely need to stop by - I highly recommend this...
Read moreIn my 54 years, I have never encountered a fast food staff made up of such breathtaking incompetence and stupidity as I did today. I ordered 2 burgers: a double bacon steakburger with only ketchup, mustard, mayo, cheese, and a single steakburger with only lettuce, tomato, mayo. Also 2 large fries. Not difficult. But I ended up repeating the double bacon order THREE times at the drive thru speaker and TWICE more at the window, because on the screen they duplicated the ingredients from the single onto the double. So finally after saying it 5 times the girl at the window (Cheyenne Jefferson-Poole is the name on the receipt) seemed to have it right. But then I get handed an order that matched what was on the screen. After all that "confirmation" at the window, she couldn't even be bothered to check the burger and make sure it was right. I brought the burger inside and told a different girl what happened. Guess what? I had to repeat "ketchup, mustard, mayo, cheese" ANOTHER FOUR TIMES. This second girl goes back into the kitchen then comes back in 45 seconds and says "OK, lettuce, tomato, mayo" ... absolutely nothing like what I told her 4 times!!!!!! Finally I realize the only way I'm going to get my burger is by writing down the ingredients on my receipt and telling her to take it back to the kitchen. After standing there another 10 minutes I finally get the correct burger. Does that mean everything is OK? Hell no, because that took so long that the rest of the food was cold by the time we got out of the parking lot, leading to a very pissed off wife. Is it a prerequisite for Freddy's employees to not be any smarter than a chimpanzee in order to work there? Or do you just shrug and accept this from your staff because Gen Z is the dumbest generation in human history and you figure you can't do any better? Regardless of the excuse, I will never again set foot in a Freddy's, anywhere, ever. You have permanently lost a customer even though I liked your food. Read moreFirst time ever at Freddie'sas i am from Washington D.C. despite living here 20 years now this is my first. . I rate base on menu, know your product, huge on accuracy, customer service and quality of food for value. There are menu items that offer upgrades such as fries or onion rings, or chili fries, or shake it up by trading in your drink for a shake +$2.00. I took both but what the sign doesn't say is their season shake like the oreo peppermint or its $4.00 (twice the cost of the upgrade for peppermint flakes..wow!). I am not impressed with fries that are size of coffee straws. By time they come out the fryer there is no potato inside. Despite this, I give their chili cheese fries a 3 out of 5. Not the best but is not the worst. The customer service including resolution is great actually. The manager goes around asking to pick up your tray ( very lost method but impactful ) , there were issues with my special order which is plain sandwich. Normally this would upset me because the lack of attention to details but more than that the poor attitude from employees for their mistake. THAT DOD NOT happen here! Actually the manager got my order remake really quick, offered a free email because both my items weren't to my request. When he asked to take pur tray he asked how was the remake. I tild him I mislead myself to believe it was something else. He apologized and offered free items or another email. I appreciate the offers but i declined. He already provided me with a free meal card but i sure appreciate the guester. The ability for customer resolution is a lost or maybe not required here is Vegas. If they keep this manager, thus location will be great. While freddies to me is an upgraded, but better is service , is like a dairyqueen/ Sonic with In/out twist, and their customer service.
