My family and I went on the day after their soft grand opening. We've been excited for weeks because we saw the sign and we're able to google that they were a fast casual Mediterranean restaurant, which is honestly needed for the area. There is nothing around that fits that description near the Craig rd. Interstate section. We were greeted and the restaurant has around 6 tables but it is a build your own style place. My family and I came in at 6 and it closes at 8. We ordered the bowls, which start with a choice between cous cous, rice, or garbanzo beans. The rice and couscous looked like it had been sitting there all day. There were about 6 workers, two which I believed to be owners or managers. As we proceeded to the protein, we noticed that everything was dry as if it were like a gyro meat "chip" or crumbled pieces of chicken "chips". I requested then to make more chicken to which they obliged. My husband ordered the gyro "chips" thinking that was how it was supposed to be. There are no signs so your left to ask what each thing is at each bowl building station. They were not all simple to identify ingredients so it was quite an ordeal, taking around 20 mins for our 3 bowls, if you factor in the extra cooked chicken. I have to say, I have never been more disappointed. The gyro "chips" were just very very dry shriveled old meat. The chicken was very dry, and the whole meal was very meh. For 60$ for 3 bowls, I was expecting for it to be edible but it was not. I want to like this place, I really do, but if you as managers or owners can't train your staff on what you serve and they've never tried it, how can you expect it to be good? I give leniency to that they just opened, but I can't look past a manager or an owner leaving protein out on platters to shrivel under heat lamps and then serving it because they are scared to lose a profit. The world is was too expensive to pay that much for old...
Read moreWe picked up lunch from this place August 21st. I walked in and was greeted by a nice lady. The food was sitting on the counter bagged up and stapled. We had ordered 3 meals. When I looked at the bag it appeared kind of small. So I asked the lady if everything was in the bag. She assured me that it was. I drove all the way back to work and when we opened the bag one of the pitas were missing. Very disappointing. I was absolutely not driving all the way back so I called multiple times and even left a voicemail and never received a return call. All I wanted was a refund for the 1 item that was missing. This is not good customer service. To top it off, the food was cold and mediocre for the price that we paid. Overpriced, mediocre and didn’t even get everything that we paid for. We will not be returning here and I would definitely not recommend this place. I honestly don’t think this place will be in business for long. After reading the reviews I see that missing food...
Read moreEdit - I did return only to find the same foods labeled gluten free when they certainly are not. Saying that others enjoy GF meals here without issue is deflecting the fact that they do not have their menu properly labeled, or staff trained on best practices. Perhaps I should contact corporate or the health department.
Ownership here does not take allergies seriously. I reached out to them previously to let them know my concerns, especially after I was glutened and had to throw my food away and leave. But nothing has changed. Its frustrating you would go so far as to have a gluten free label but it's used improperly. Many items on the menu are labeled Gluten Free when they are made in the same fryer as gluten containing foods. The utensils used for adding hummus and spreads to bowls, also touch all pitas and wraps. I would not go here if you have any allergy, as staff are not aware and MGMT hasn't created...
