I have been to other LuLu Hawaiians establishments. This was my first and LAST experience with this location . Let me start by saying , I am not from Nevada . I graduated law school here in Vegas during Covid . I recently moved back . As soon as walked into this location , the cook ( female ) and a male would stop their conversation and stared. As I proceeded to purchase the item with the cashier ( female ) , the female cook and male started speaking in their language and laughing . I was uncomfortable but hungry and proceeded to go on with the order . The cashier , automatically charged me for a fountain drink , and did not clarify if I wanted a can drink or fountain . When I stated a can drink . The fountain drink cost more and overpriced for Pepsi products . Which is why she automatically charged me for that one. These people are crooks ! After the food was cooked and done within 5 min I bit into the short ribs ( which usually take longer than 5 min to cook ) and it tasted like old and spoiled meat and had a smell , and it was under cooked ( photo posted ). I let them know about it . I wanted a refund , but I only asked for another order to be made properly . Because I did not want to cause any issues , although , I should have demanded a refund. The cook made another order after they noticed that I knew it was undercooked . The new order they made , they did not want me to take it to go . They wanted me to eat it there .. super weird . I took it to go and I did not trust eating it at all , I took one small bite and the food was super salty and seemed as if something non food grade , but chemical , was put on it. They also added chicken and it had a Huge skin piece with fat ( photo attached ) normally there is no chicken skin added with these plates . I did not eat the food and ended up throwing it away . I did not trust to eat it . Wasted money and they ruined my appetite and experience .
This was discrimination and this place is a dangerous and unethical environment to eat in. I spent money like every other customer , but I was given food that no one should even feed to a dog . It’s not about the price of the food , it’s about the principle . Which this place lacks . Therefore , I will be reporting this to the better business bureau and the health dept. As...
Read moreHere goes. We were up in centennial side after a swim at the Y and looking for a place for lunch. Looked up Hawaiian food near me and Lulu’s popped up. Read some reviews, which sadly was 50/50 good and “Stay away”. So if you read my review I would say “Stay away”. Everything I read that were positive, WereWrong! Rice wasn’t fluffy, Short ribs was not good, mostly rubbery n tuff. Spam musubi had this weird sauce that they add. Loco moco was pretty bad,the hamburger patty was not fresh, its like premade frozen patties (you know the kine)the gravy tasted like powder gravy just add water kine and the mac salad was just macaroni with cheap mayo, 🤮. The fried shrimp probably wasn’t even shrimp cause was hard to tell cause it was so flat and to tell the truth pretty awful. I did a take out curry beef stew and it was red. Curry is yellow??? I am from Hawaii and I’ve been here in Vegas for about a year now,and we eat out alot. We’ve had Hit’s and misses, but lately alot of misses. I can’t blame anybody but myself, especially trying to compare Vegas “Hawaiian food” to what we are used to back home. I tell myself that no matter which L&L or Aloha dadada restaurants you go too and there are people (I’m not goin to be racist here)that probably never been to Hawaii trying to sell you Kalua pig, or bbq chicken or teri meat that it more than likely will not taste the same as back home. Just a note here. The BEST Korean short ribs I ever eaten here in Vegas is at the Green land market food court. It’s called Island Style, great food there. The spam fried rice and the Rib bone soup with the Korean ribs is absolutely my go to choices. Sorry Lulu’s is Not one of my...
Read moreOur first time here, I give this place 3.5 stars. It's pretty busy. The place is simply decorated but nothing special. I didn't even know the name of the place until we stepped in. It didn't give the local welcoming kind of vibe. It didn't really stand out in any way. I didn't get to do my usual research prior to coming here, so I ordered the standard staples.
Loco moco all rice - Hamburger was bland as well as the sad looking gravy. It didn't give that comforting hug that warms you up with each bite. The burger itself was tough , and I had to cut it with a knife.
2 item combo - Garlic shrimp and bbq chicken with mac salad: Shrimp was a little too chewy, and I was expecting to peel the shrimp. I'm not sure if she took my order wrong. The bbq chicken was the only thing I enjoyed. I was looking forward to the mac salad, but first bite off bat it was salty. Everything after was just as salty. The lady who took my order was alright. She didn't have the welcoming vibe. She was more like what do you like, next kind of thing. Prices were decent. For 2 plates, I paid $30. Would I go here again,...
