Store manager of Shadow Mountain named Jennie is rude and disrespectful. I went to the store buy fish and lined up in the cashier. After few minutes of waiting, I asked the lady in seafood city uniform (who was just talking with another employee ) where the cashier is, she said 5 more minutes since they open at 8. I always go there same time but this is the first time someone told me about it. So cashier came and said " oh I thought someone helped you already ". I said no, she said it opens at 8. Then here comes Jennie raising her voice to me saying their store hours and that they open at 8. And here I am thinking so how come I'm inside your store before 8 .Still with her raised voice she told me that the person behind me knows about it cause she told him earlier and he waited but she doesn't understand that I just spoke to her once. I told her she doesn't need to raise her voice to me, she said that's her normal voice and went ballistic. I asked for her name and she gave it and said she's the store manager. Wow so much for customer service. I ask the cashier again for her name to be sure but she won't give her name and she keep saying it's ok dont get her name anymore. Then here come Miss Store manager raising her voice st me again , so I said she's being rude and disrespectful. She said they can refuse sevice to me for the way I was treating them. Wow this is the first it happened to me, talked about tables being turned. To the management you're store manager needs customer service training big time. It's so sad I always go there and people are nice especially the Grill city and Noodle shop people even the guys in the fish and meat section. It's the first time I encountered this store manager and she scared...
Read moreI came to visit my Son, who lives here. I used to live here. But moved to Virginia and come back every year to visit my Son and my granddaughter. Before I left! I heard that they were going to open a Seafood City in N. Decatur Blvd. I was really happy! So, today! I went and checked it out! The store is very clean, very nice, very organized and their staff are really nice. I was looking for fresh moringa leaves (dahon malongay) and I found some in their store, and I was so happy that they have some. I got hungry so I stopped at Grill City and bought a combination of a BBQ, Tortang talong and rice. I also bought a small size of Adobong Pusit. But I wasn’t able to eat it, I took one piece and eat it with my rice and it was very salty. So, I asked one of the staff politely if I can a complain. She said, what’s wrong? I said! The squid is very salty, so she asked me I want anything else. I said ok! Give me the Ampalaya with eggs. And that was that! Over all! I enjoyed my visit Seafood City and Grill City. All of their staff are very nice and friendly. Thank you very much! #/ maybe someday you will open a Seafood City in Virginia Beach. We need...
Read moreI have been a permanent shopper at Seafood City in Maryland Parkway since it opened years ago. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE IN PRICES BETWEEN THE STORE IN No. Las Vegas Decatur & Maryland Pkwy. The No. Las Vegas store is W-A-Y...TOO EXPENSIVE..I decided to go around this store & checked their prices and I noticed that MOST OF THEIR ITEMS HERE ARE HIGHER BY $ 1 - 2.00...COMPARED TO THE STORE IN MARYLAND PKWY...ALSO SOME ITEMS AT THE DECATUR STORE IS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE COMPARED TO RANCH 99, SF MARKET, ISLAND PACIFIC, & 168 CHINESE MARKETS... Some shoppers I spoke to also noticed this & WE HAVE THE SAME DECISION...WE WILL NO LONGER COME TO SHOP HERE....I TOLD THEM THAT THE PRICES AT DECATUR BRANCH WAS BASED ON THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA WHERE HOMEOWNERS HAVE HIGHER INCOME COMPARED TO THE MIDDLE CLASS INCOME GROUP. DECATUR AREA HAS BIGGER HOMES, HIGHER INCOME & MIXED POPULATION...WHO EARN...
