The food was good, as always. I got the Jalapeño Burger and a Chili Cheese Dog. The food was fast, there was a literal bus load of kids that were in the store, so I expected it to take a while, but it did not. My only complaint is the store itself was dirty, trash on the floors, tables weren't clean, and I guess there was some sort of problem with the drain on the soda machine where the ice drains, because there was water everywhere with a big air circulator fan blowing the big puddle. When I say water was everywhere, I mean, like a quarter of the whole seating area had standing water in it. There seemed to be at least 7-10 employees behind the counter, and when I got there, there were actually even a few sitting outside eating, so I was a little put off by the fact that nobody had bothered to clean the mess. I was there for almost an hour in total, we had some custard on hold also...which if you haven't had the PBC&B...if you like peanut butter and bananas...is the best thing ever, but we were there for almost an hour and nobody cleaned the floors or a majority of the tables. There was one girl that cleaned the table beside mine, but it had been unused and appeared to be clean before she cleaned it, so I was confused. Either way, this was the first time that I had been to Freddy's in a while and the first time that I had any complaints, but it may be a little while before I choose to eat in at this...
Read moreEdit: I finally went back a second time.. hamburger patty was indeed still just about 1/4 inch thick. Super disappointing. I won't be wasting any more money here.
The place has just opened within the last week.
We ordered two bacon double cheeseburgers, sandwiches only, and two regular concretes, and spent $22. The food tasted good, but the patties on the burgers were about 1/4 inch thick, and smashed wide to overlap the edges of the bun in a thin, crumbly, raggedy mess. Not worth the price at all.
It's worth mentioning that we went through the drive through. For some reason they made our custards first and gave them to us to hold onto in the hot car. I figured that if we were getting the frozen food, the hot food was right behind it. Nope. We had to sit and wait on the hot food as the custard melted.
At least everything was made correctly.
The custard was good. Very thick and creamy, but not as much of an eggy custard cream taste as other custards I have had. More like a soft serve. I think Shakes in Little Rock has the best custard in central AR. I was hoping Freddy's would be better since it's closer to home, but while they were good, they just weren't good enough.
I'm willing to give the place a chance again after it's been open for a couple months, and see if the quality of the burgers improve. If the patties don't get thicker, I won't be coming back...
Read moreI was a little skeptical of this place because it was almost 6pm on a Thursday and the parking lot was almost empty. But, I'm very glad we decided to try this place because I've always wanted to and it exceeded my expectations!
We first walk in, and the place is clean, looks good, and there's actually a person standing the register. Amazing. And, she could actually carry a conversation. Think about it, that's pretty impressive nowadays. Not to mention, there were like 5-6 people in the kitchen! Kind of blew my mind. Pretty used to going places now and there might be two people working if you're lucky.
Employee at the register was polite, friendly, and altogether pleasant. The food itself was unbelievably fresh and the fries were hot and crisp and looked as if they were just made. When was the last time you actually had that happen?
Burgers were really good. The "custard" (why isn't it just ice cream?) was really good too. Got the mini turtle thing, or whatever it's called. Either way, it was really good!
If you're looking for a nice, clean, friendly place, this would be a...
