They waste a phenomenal amount of food. You're not allowed to take any of the hot pot with you since they have no togo container for liquids. You can take the barbecue but you pay $14 for a tiny little container on top of the $25 if you got both barbecue and hot pot. They charge you $8.99/lb for any meat you didn't cook but won't GIVE you take away containers to take it.They threw away all the vegetables. They also didn't mention in the menu that it's a 4-6 person serving of each vegetable. If anybody joins you they can't just eat any of the food you paid for unless they pay the $25 even if they don't order any other food. HUGELY wasteful. They say it is all you can eat that's why they do it. The human interaction factor is low and pretty much the only ones that you will deal with are the waiter/ waitress who initially assist you and the staff bringing your requested meat and vegetables. Otherwise, they were seven staff people standing there about 40 ft away talking the entire time and hanging out. You have to order everything off of the app and fair warning it's confusing, especially the first time. It doesn't tell you on there that if you get an order of broccoli you're getting four servings of broccoli. So beware when you order that you're not able to take anything with you and your eyes are definitely bigger than your stomach when it comes to the portions. Everything that they brought looked wonderful and was clean and fresh, no complaints whatsoever about the quality of the food. The meats were sliced exceptionally thin so that they could be cooked in the center quickly but if you actually want them to stay with the vegetables it's incredibly easy to burn them and make them taste like rubber.. There are active hot burners up to four of them per table plus center cooking area, so any children you take you need to be paid attention to. It is easy to get burned or spill hot liquids. There is a control on the front of the table for the centerpiece but ours didn't work so you never could shut the thing off and everything that was in it got overcooked because you can't possibly eat everything at once. No seasoning except oil If you're going to serve everything family style it should be per order not per person so that the food gets eaten and not wasted and seriously they need to invest in to-go containers it's ridiculous to pay $71 for two people to have a bunch of vegetables. In our case, the machine doubled the second order so we ended up with a whole bunch of wasted food that I refused to pay for because it was a glitch in their software so pay attention to what your bill says and how much food you get when they bring it out so that you don't get overcharged. Seemed very strange to be cooking all our food for ourselves, but I could get on board with that. I do foresee some people having difficulty because a lot of individuals these days don't know how to actually cook anything, so make sure you bring people familiar with their way around the kitchen or a designated chef. Everything was clean. The food was fresh but the amount of food they waste if they're actually throwing It all away like they say, is phenomenal Parking is ample but it took five times showing up at 5:00 p.m. or later to realize that it's always an hour and a half wait time. I expect that this will decrease over time when people are aware of what it's going to cost them and the bang for the buck not being all that. Otherwise they open at 11:30 and up until about 2:30 you can get in pretty quickly. Seemed to take around 10 minutes for the table behind us and us to pay for our bill because even though you're supposed to use the machine on the table the machine had a lot of errors and a human had to get involved. All in all I would not recommend this to families especially those with small children. It might be fun if the boss is buying but it gets expensive fast and it's absolutely ludicrous that there's no way to take your food with you once you've paid for it or share it with friends if there's more than you can eat. Read moreKorean BBQ or Hot Pot is definitely an experience. We enjoyed our evening very much. The only reason the the food got 4 stars is because I don’t like my meat boiled. Let me explain…
The Korean BBQ, you sear your food on a plate heated by gas flames. Hot Pot you boil everything in a premade “stew.” If I had to it again I would do both so I could cook out meat separate with the different sauces and spices available at their bar. Like a salad bar but to help encompass the whole experience.
Hot Pot you put all your food in a soup that’s pre-seasoned to your taste. Noodles, vegetables, and added spices can give your meal more depth.
Kara was our server and she explained everything really well. She was very attentive and worked hard to make sure we knew what we needed. Mostly it was me that hat questions. And she stopped everything she was discussing to make sure I was on the same page with any question I had. She was perfect.
However, my crew wanted to go with the hot pot style. I think they were wanting a more custom “ramen” experience. In my opinion you should do both hot pot and Korean bbq to get there.
Everyone in our party really enjoyed everything. I just didn’t like the toughness that it gives to boiling meat. Everything tasted good but great and if you like spicy food the schezwan hot pot is not very hot. It bites but not too much. It’s a nice heat for a casual encounter but if you like hotter or spicier foods don’t worry about adding some jalapeños. On a side note, the lobster balls are not what you think if you’ve not had them before. Not bad but not lobster. I hadn’t had them before Nandi was disappointed thinking it would be lobster “unveiled”…. It was not. It wasn’t bad just different. I ate three but that’s all I wanted. I went back to my lamb and beef.
Overall, it was a lot of fun! We will be back, more educated and I’m positive we’ll enjoy ourselves even more! Big parties would have a blast! If pyou’re looking for a different way to have fun while eating this is a good place to try it out.
We will be going again and i look...
Read moreIt was an awful and confusing experience. First of all, it was 3 people in our party and it was the first time for two of us to experience this type of restaurant and we told our server this first thing. The server we had was very disconnected--he seemed hung over or something was going on. He rambled off a script and we struggled to even hear him because it was so loud in this place. we were polite and tried to figure out ourselves. We all ordered the combo to give both styles a try. All of sudden, we had a rush of different raw meats to our table. The people that delivered the food shoved plates on different ends of the table and darted off without a word. I have a shellfish allergy and asked my server politely not to mix shellfish on the same plate with my fish order--guess what? Shellfish and fish items were placed on the same plate. "Sigh", so this place became very uncomfortable for me. We had no idea which raw meat plate was which and what belonged to whose specific order. The grill was smoking really bad and finally the main server reappeared to ask if we wanted a new one. WTH!!! Just change it before the whole table light up! (I did not say this out loud) I said "A new one please, thank you. (with big smile) Of course our server disappeared until he thought we were just about done. We didn't know it was a buffet for appetizers until we went to the restroom before exiting the place. The whole experience was horrible for me to say the least, so I don't even remember how the food tasted--I was too pre-ocuppied with not having to use my epi pen that evening. It will be a very long time if ever that I go there again. Oh yeah, the person in our party ordered a hot saki and it had a dead fly soaking in it. My cocktail (sangria) was good though. That's it. Please do not copy and paste that same canned response you have done on other reviews that were not stellar. Just really read it and work with your staff on quality...
