The food was really good. The service is bad, really bad. Wouldn't have tipped, but as I didn't want to punish the kitchen for the waitress's poor work, I tipped anyway. It was a shame because it detracted from the whole experience. The waitress seemed unmotivated and was unfriendly, you could tell she didn't want to be here. When we placed our order, she didn't write anything down. Instead, she immediately asked what we had ordered. Perhaps it would be better to write it down. Part of the order was forgotten and only came to the table on request. Although we ordered one Mango roll, another one without Mango arrived.

However, the "highlight" was ordering the dessert. When she asked if we would like to order anything else, I asked for the menu. However, she didn't want to bring it to me, instead she listed about 5 desserts. I couldn't remember them and asked if they had mochi, although she didn't mention this. She said that they did and in four varieties. After selecting the desired variety, she came back and told us that there were no more xy but xx. So we changed the order, after about 5 minutes another waiter came by to tell us that they didn't have xx but xy and yx... It really was a fiesta. He didn't really seem inviting either.

I also don't understand why there were three waiters, at 18:30 - 19:10 there were never more than four tables occupied. Preparing the food took rather a long time.

With a good Service i would definitely comeback, but like that, the price is too much. Spent...

This was one of the worst, if not the worst, dining experiences I’ve had. I typically don’t complain but the excuses upon excuses provided by the manager after I spoke with her about the poor service means now I’m compelled to write a review. First, I placed an order online. When I arrived at the restaurant an hour later, they had not processed my order. The manager (a blonde, Hispanic woman- I didn’t get her name) said there was something wrong with the system, that they had to accept the order but didn’t etc. I told her, “these things happen.” And told her we would just dine in. I was patient and figured they’d prioritize our order. But they did not. We waited far too long to even have someone ask us if we’d like water. Our food was tasty but the temperature was off. Our miso soup was cold. We requested a water refill, and one waiter never brought it after he assured us he was working on it. Finally, before leaving the restaurant I spoke frankly with the manager and told her we were really dissatisfied with everything and what she had to say was that essentially that we had to understand that they were busy. I’ve worked as a waitress and bartender and I get mistakes are made. But you have to make sure you’re not making excuses and if the mess up is big, you comp something or offer the guests an item on the house. No one working there seemed to really care, especially the manager. A really poorly run restaurant. Terrible...

Ive been to Arigatai several times over the past 3 years and the food is consistently very good. I tend to get rolls and most recently got the volcano and the tsunami rolls; at the recommendation of my server, a sweet woman whose name eludes me, i got the cream cheese sauce on the side of the volcano roll. It was ridiculously fresh and delicious, as was the tsunami roll. I wanted an appetizer this time, something i usually dont get, but the gyoza tempura caught my eye and my appetite so i ordered them as well. They were perfect; hot, crunchy and just straight up good! Service was great, as always. Staff are friendly and attentive without hovering and i never felt rushed to pay and leave. Granted, the restaurant had plenty of open tables, but still our server let us know to simply let her know when we were ready for the check. The shopping center always has plenty of parking available, and the location is easy to access right off of Biscayne Blvd.

Definitely recommend this place for both dine in and take out. Enjoy!

Edited, 4/19/25 - The server i usually have is Natalie, and she is the best! She always remembers my wife and i, makes great recommendations and is clearly dedicated to making sure guests have the best possible experience. Keep up...

I had high hopes for this spot, but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. The tuna tartare had a fishy odor and taste, which was a clear sign it wasn’t very fresh. On the bright side, the edamame was great, and the wakame special was pretty good, though it could’ve used more salmon pieces. The biggest disappointment was the sushi rolls. The truffle kani roll was advertised as 10 pieces but came with only 8. It lacked flavor, was dry, and completely fell apart when picked up. The crab salad inside was bland and didn’t add much to the roll. The Miami roll, supposedly a signature item, felt like a basic shrimp crunch roll—nothing special. Again, the crab salad on top was dry, had an odd taste, and didn’t work well with the roll. On a positive note, the service was good, and the staff was friendly, but unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for the disappointing food. I try a new sushi spot every week, and this one just isn’t a place I’d return to.

Amazing Sushi and Great Service! I had a fantastic experience at Arigatai Sushi! The service was excellent—attentive but not intrusive, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The staff checks in at just the right moments without constantly hovering. The food was on another level—high quality, incredibly fresh, and beautifully presented. Everything tasted amazing, but I highly recommend the Tuna Cracker, the Volcano Roll, and the Bans—each one was packed with flavor! The restaurant itself is a bit small, but the design is stylish and comfortable. The ambiance is great, with music at a reasonable volume, allowing for easy conversation. A small downside was that the restrooms weren’t very clean, but overall, the experience was excellent. Prices are very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality you get. One important note: they don’t automatically add an 18% tip to the bill, so be sure to tip generously! Highly recommend this spot!
