2024 Update oct/17 The only reason I am writing this review in English is because I want it to go directly to the management of the establishment and for the simple reason that I want to continue saying that I know where the best pizzas in Miami are sold.
I still maintain the 5 stars because of the 100 times I bought or ordered from the place I never had any complaints, quite the opposite(excellent everything), but today, ufff, it's critical.
-The pizza is completely burnt on the bottom(I forgot to take the photo because I threw it away right after checking that no piece was saved) -Additions such as ham and pineapple are completely out of position and grouped separately. -The pizza itself completely dry, a side effect of being overcooked. -The music was super loud like never before. -I remember one of the pizza makers who was always super nice with names, for example my name is Frank and he was like hey whats up Franky, all good? and that from the first day without knowing each other. It is very important to clarify that the team that was there was super friendly and nice with everyone, but they are missing that something that was previously present. This part is a little bit to much🤣 I know but it’s my experience. Cashier nice Supervisor or owner nice
Read moreSteve's pizza is a landmark of North Miami. It's been there as long as I can remember walking to it back in 2000 when I lived in Greenwich. Back then the place seemed like the place to be whenever one wanted to have great pizza. I ordered this past week to pick up, and service was fine over the phone and also once I got there. But walking in and actually having to hang inside the small, overly crowded, hectic and hot pizzeria I became anxious and stressed out. Maybe it's my age I don't know. It reminded me of how much I hated having to wait so long for a slice in there because of how chaotic it always was. Regardless of my opinion, the place for the most part always seemed like a well oiled machine that did its best to meet customer demand. The loud music, the graffiti montage, the walls covered with pics are all elements of its charm and probably what attracts most of its patrons. The pizza always stood out to me, I appreciated the sweet tomato sauce more than anything else. This time around I ordered a 14" pie with 3 toppings and paid over $25 including tax. The pizza itself was made carelessly, all the toppings landed in the very center of the pizza, and the gummy dough left lots to be desired. Steve's pizza I'm sure is doing just fine and probably requires no feedback in order to continue to grow its business, especially since it hasn't grown its brick and mortar real estate since I've been coming here. Smart move. But in this day and age when big brand corporate names are able to offer mediocre pizzas at better prices, maybe Steve ought to refocus its attention on the quality of their expensive specialty pizza. At this point even 7/11's mass produced pizza dough is worth it's mediocre price and even more than Steve's...

VIRTUE
The Cashier’s Kindness The only redeeming quality of this visit was the cashier — a sweet, respectful lady who treated me with genuine professionalism. She had nothing to do with the food or the behavior of the kitchen staff, and she stood out as the one person who carried herself with dignity. Without her, this review wouldn’t even have one star.
SINS
Old, Reheated Pizza Fresh pies were coming out of the oven, yet I was handed a leftover slice that was dry, rubbery, stale, and simply nasty. This choice destroyed the trust and quality Steve’s Pizza was once known for.
Disrespectful Kitchen Staff When I politely complained, the two men working the kitchen responded with hostility instead of service. Their body language, faces, and dismissive attitude made it clear they didn’t care about customers or the restaurant’s reputation.
Mockery Over Service After I asked for a proper fresh slice, one of them deliberately served me a micro-slice, as if to mock me. That level of arrogance is unforgivable in hospitality.
Loss of Legacy I’ve been loyal for over 25 years, proud to bring family and friends here. Today, the pride is gone. If you serve reheated scraps while fresh pizza is on display — and then mistreat loyal customers — you’ve lost your soul as a restaurant.
FINAL NOTE
Steve’s Pizza was once a neighborhood legend. Today, it is unrecognizable — a place where arrogance in the kitchen has replaced quality and care. For me, the legacy is...
