I made a to-go order on Saturday afternoon. I'd heard of this place and was excited to try it. They had so many options and I truly wanted to try them all. However, I've found when you order something simple, you can see if the Restaurant lives up to the hype. So I ordered the Black and Blue Burger, with small hand-cut fries and two different dips; Cilantro Jalapeño Crema and Garlic Sauce. Lets start with the dips. The Cilantro Jalapeño Crema was a bit watery. I tasted NO Jalapeno and it didn't leave an impression. The Garlic Sauce was perfect, in fact, I used this on my Burger as well. My fries, while they were hand-cut (so it seemed) they must've come from the smallest potatoes. They were very small and so was the amount given. They fell short in meeting my expectations. Now to the Burger. The description says: Blacken Smashed Patties, Gorgonzola Aioli, Caramelized Onions, Lettuce, Tomato on a Garlic Butter Sourdough Bun. So the Burger did have 2 Generous Patties, however, they were NOT blacken. The Gorgonzola Aioli lacked ANY GORGONZOLA, and the amount placed on the bun was minimal, barely noticeable. In fact, as I indicated earlier, I used the Garlic Sauce to help with the flavor. Caramelized Onions were on the burger, but didn't add to the flavor at all. The lettuce was HUGE, a few pieces of Iceberg, not very appetizing and lastly the tomatoes were old, too long for use. They was lifeless and faded in appearance. I didn't even notice the tomato until I took apart the burger and simply ate the patty with one of the buns. And the promised bun was not as promised. It was not a Garlic Butter Sourdough Bun at all. I wanted to give this place a rave review, but sadly, I could not. Everything came out Hot and the staff was beyond friendly. I think that they need to tighten up the kitchen to ensure that each of their stated recipes/menu items are prepared as promised. I may give them a second chance, but not sure. The price for all my food was...
Read moreI was thrilled to hear about this place opening just a mile from our home. We arrived at 8 PM, expecting it to be open at least until 9 PM. We walked in to find only one other table occupied, and the place was empty. It closes at 8:30 in the summer, which seems early to me. They greeted us very nicely and seated us at our table. The table was dirty, and the waitress noticed and cleaned it. The menu was sticky, as was the booth-type seating I sat in. This place is new, and the owner was there, so I expected impeccable service. However, the waitress was more concerned about cleaning than giving us her full attention. We ordered, and the food came out almost too quickly. It was hot, but the burger bun was burnt. I was also disappointed in the fact that our burger was supposed to have cheese, which it did, but you could not have put a lesser amount of cheese on two patties. We ordered the curly truffle fries, but they didn't taste like truffle. We also ordered a dipping sauce that claimed to be homemade. It was supposed to have jalapenos, but it was very bland, so it couldn't have had them. It tasted like yogurt. Lastly, my beer ran out halfway through eating, and the waitresses never came back; they were too busy wanting to get out of there. I had to walk up to the bar to order. Now the good news is that we will give it another shot. The owner came by our table and asked how it was. My wife will not let me make a scene as she gets embarrassed, so I said it was OK. He didn't pry, so I left it at that. I want this place to succeed, but it's up against Hamburger Joes across the street, which consistently delivers excellent service and perfectly cooked burgers. I know every other review is five stars, but I tell it like it is, the good and the bad, to give people the opportunity to fix things. I truly hope this place makes it. The restaurant business is tricky in MB, but a local place like this, I...
Read moreI am literally shook to my core at how amazing the food was. It was mine and my fiancés first time eating here and we were blown away. He got the tzatziki burger, and while I wasn’t expecting much from it I was surprised at how much I liked it. The seasoning on the patties was very tasty and the sauce they put on there was phenomenal. I did a build your own burger and got the onion bun, double patties, with caramelized onions, bacon, and onion jam. The flavor was incredible! The burger was so juicy and cooked perfectly. They also have so many choices for fries, dips, and seasonings which were just as delicious. I got the rosemary garlic seasoning on my waffle fries with cheese sauce on the side and he got the steak fries with cowboy crust and the jalapeno cilantro dip on the side. Both were so absolutely amazing. Our waitress Kate was so helpful and knowledgeable and answered all 101 questions we had. She was kind and patient and made the experience that much better. I’m so thankful we live down the street because this will be regular place we eat. We HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to everyone and hope they have a...
