Indian restaurant in North Myrtle Beach. Looks like it’s a converted diner inside. The decor is lacking but it was well lit and very clean. We were seated at a small 1/2 booth for 2 which we were quite happy with, however we were asked at least 3 times if we wanted to move and were ok sitting there. We started with veggie samosas. One serving contained 2. They were an average in size and nit as crispy on the outside as I’ve had elsewhere and like. They were ok, nothing special. More entrees we got chicken tiki masala and the servers recommended chicken Chettinad (a spicy dish). I asked for low/ medium spice level and my husband asked for medium. Neither were that spicy and both of us felt we should have asked for our dishes to be spicier. Bath came with rice. The tiki masala was ok. It wasn’t as red in color as Ive gotten at other restaurants and wasnt as tomatoey. It could have used mire spices to give it a bit more flavor. The chettinad dish had an earthy flavor. My husband didnt mind it but wouldn’t order it again. The staff was very friendly and service was quick.

I just spent five weeks in India and I was pleasantly surprised to see we had a brand new Indian restaurant, AARIV, when I returned to Myrtle Beach. The food is honestly even better than what I had when I was in India. The staff is so incredibly warm and welcoming. If anything is even slightly off with your food, they go out of their way to make it perfect for you. I was able to try Indian dishes. I have never even heard of before. Rohan, Sean and Ian have all gone out of their way to make our dining experience top-notch. I wish I could give it more than five stars!! ❤️ Miss India

Amazing experience, our waiter made sure everything was perfect and he was very polite. The food was delicious and had good spicy options (including a good variety of Indian-spicy for those who enjoy it). Everything from the soup to the paneer was amazing and I’d recommend anyone in the Myrtle Beach area try it. We got paneer chili which was perfectly spicy and soft, veg soup which came hot and tasted amazing. Paneer Tikal masala that was seasoned perfectly and even the spiciest-food enjoyer in our family enjoyed. (Also very kid approved from the last picture 😅).

Authentic Indian Cuisine That Feels Like Home!

We were on vacation in Myrtle Beach and discovered this hidden gem through Google. Based on the glowing reviews, we were excited to try it—especially since we hadn’t found truly authentic Indian food since moving to NC.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and cozy ambiance. Arriving around 2:15 PM on a Sunday, the restaurant was quiet, with just a couple of other families dining in. We ordered papad with mango chutney, malai kofta, bhindi masala, and cheese garlic naan. The papad came with green chutney, sweet chutney, and mango chutney—setting the stage for what would be an incredible meal.

Every dish exceeded our expectations! The malai kofta and bhindi masala were simply out of this world—perfectly spiced, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The cheese garlic naan was soft, fragrant, and complemented the curries beautifully. Having lived in Mumbai and Pune for over 16 years, I can confidently say this is the best Indian food I’ve had outside India!

Chef Tushar personally checked in on us, and it was clear he is deeply passionate about serving authentic Indian cuisine. We even noticed a local couple walk in and start ordering without looking at the menu—a true testament to the restaurant’s consistency and quality. They’ve been coming here almost daily since it opened!

For dessert, we indulged in gulab jamun, which was delicious, and were treated to a complimentary rice pudding for Gudi Padwa—an upcoming addition to their menu. The combination of warm gulab jamun with chilled rice pudding was a delightful discovery! Before leaving, we also took home some samosas, which made for the perfect evening snack by the beach.

Tushar and his team are doing a phenomenal job. The love and authenticity they put into their food shine through in every bite. We will...

This place is amazing! We frequently eat Indian cuisine as a treat, and the food here was the best we’ve had. For appetizers, we had the cheese garlic naan and lamb kabobs with mint chutney. The naan was warm and filling, and kabobs were extremely tender. We ordered an off menu item- Paneer 65. They only offer in chicken, but the chef made it special for us. It was incredible. We ordered sweet tea which was packed with flavor, and a masala chai which came hot and comfortingly delicious. For our main courses, we had the tikka masala and butter chicken. The Tikka Masala was rich and flavorful, and butter chicken hit the spot. Everything was seasoned to perfection and portions were large. We could hardly walk out of the door because we couldn’t stop eating, yet had plenty left over. Our server, Shawn, was very attentive and took the time to tell us about the restaurant and was very appreciative of the compliments- he said that positive feedback helps them to continue to work harder and improve. Overall an amazing environment, excellent service and absolutely phenomenal food. We will definitely be back when in the area! This is now for sure a family favorite and a must-have when in...

The first three times we went here the food was really good, and served good portions. But the last time we went, the quality went way down, as did the portions. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala again, and they changed the pieces of chicken and put a lot less of it in the dish. It is an expensive restaurant, and we did not like that they gave such small amounts of chicken. As well, the chicken was different this time, and had a funny taste. It was small cubed cuts of chicken, not like before, almost like it was not fresh but came from a packaged frozen bag of pre-cubed chicken pieces. And, both my husband and I did not feel well all day after eating there, and the sauce seemed off too. The owner should have a lunch special, because they charge the same for lunch as they do for dinners, but dinnertime you get a free condiment with dinner, not at lunch. It is way too pricey for lunch, and the atmosphere is more like a fast food restaurant, not fine dining. The service is excellent, and they are all extremely nice! I hated to put this review up, but hopefully they can return to their original quality/quantity and provide some better...
