Wow! We just had the most fantastic meal at this Salvadoran gem, and I'm still dreaming about the flavors. We ordered three dishes, and each one was a standout: First, we started with the Corn Atole. It was the perfect appetizer – a beautifully comforting and smooth soup. The sweetness was just right, not overpowering at all, and the corn kernels were wonderfully plump and flavorful. It was such a delightful and gentle way to begin our meal, truly whetting our appetites for what was to come. For our main course, we had the Fried Tilapia. This was cooked to absolute perfection! The outside was beautifully crispy and golden, providing a fantastic textural contrast to the incredibly tender and flaky fish inside. You could immediately tell the fish was exceptionally fresh; it tasted clean and delicious. We also indulged in the Seafood Soup (Sopa de Mariscos), and oh my goodness, it was a showstopper! This soup was generously packed with an abundance of seafood. The fish and crab legs, in particular, were incredibly fresh, sweet, and succulent. But the broth… the broth was out of this world! It was so deeply flavorful and rich – I mean, truly, truly delicious. It was so good that I soaked up every last bit with the accompanying bread and practically drank the bowl clean. I couldn't get enough of it! Overall, this was an outstanding dining experience. The quality and freshness of the ingredients shone through in every dish. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful, and heartwarming Salvadoran food, you absolutely must try this place. We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately I must say that my visit with my wife and daughter was not pleasant, the first few minutes were nice due to the atmosphere and the prompt attention in taking our order, but we had to wait a little over an hour to eat, and once we had our food, the shrimp were served in the soup unpeeled, meaning with the shell and tail on, and to top it all off the rice was overcooked and smelled rancid, in other words it was spoiled and tasted really bad, not to mention the meat soup which was just water with poorly cut pieces of potatoes and tasteless grass. The waitress ignored us after we let her know that the rice was spoiled and we thought she would change it or apologize for the bad timing, but that was not the case, we still had to pay for everything and we did but it was not pleasant at all to pay more than $80.00 for three plates and leave so dissatisfied.

Wow, I’m so glad hubby picked El Rinconcito for dinner. His tamales puerco (pork tamales) were so flavorful and freshly made, not the heavy cornmeal sort. My taquitos dorados (fried taquitos) were light and delish. Offered with either cabbage or salad, cabbage is the way to go. It’s fresh, crispy, flavorful, and the perfect accompaniment to the taquitos. We ordered plantains and requested they be cooked longer as we enjoy them caramelized. The restaurant was spotless and the waitress (and ladies at the register) so sweet and friendly. They even have brightly painted mugs and pitchers for sale (very inexpensive) so you can take memories of a delicious meal home with you.

I want to start off by saying I had high hopes considering my parents come here often and drove over 45 minutes to bring me here. I came on vacation and wanted pupsas so they brought me and my kids here, the pupsas weren't the best lacked flavor, the salsa was ok, the brought out 1 small container of curtido for 6 ppl eating pupsas. They brought out almost everyone's food while the smallest one at the table, and the hungriest, got his food last. Here's where I have the biggest issue, the waitress that tended us seemed to have an instant problem with our table and I have no clue why, her manners were non existent with our table, she never asked NOT ONCE if everything came out ok, I told her we wanted to order drinks 1st she then said to me that It's food 1st then drinks, but not In a good customer service kind of way more like bothered and rude. I expressed to my parents that I wasn't very happy with the service and they went on to say they were busy and etc etc...but I have worked in the customer service industry AND CONTINUE to, it costs NOTHING to treat YOUR customers with some simple respect not make them feel completely disregarded and bothered. I WILL NEVER return and I ask others to stay FAR away if you don't want your time ruined, the food was at best "alright" but not worth the bad service nor the drive. Ahh yes almost forgot about our drinks they came out like she just let it sit there while everyone else got their drinks we sat for a loooong while waiting for our atole when we did get them it was barely warm.....I saw just one thing after another of her treatment towards us in subtle diagusting ways, to be honest Im scared she could have done something to my food or drinks by the eay she was treating me. So again i dont recommend And i will never be back/ nunca mas regresare y no recomiendo este...
