Stopped in for the first time, after driving past it for months. Pleasantly surprised. Sports Bar atmosphere, with plenty of TVs streaming. Plenty enough choices on the menu! Ordered myself 12 ounces of The Famous Dagwood Burger, with fries and slaw. The wife ordered the Rachel’s Rueben, with pastrami, and done nothing but brag how good it was. Miss Danielle was our server, and was an absolute pleasure to meet. With great service like that, we will most definitely return. Thanks again, Danielle! Time to try out another sandwich, 03/29/2024. This time I had The HogPound! Roasted Pork Tenderloin Topped with Melted Swiss and Provolone Cheeses, Served on a Brioche Bun with Horseradish Mayonnaise, but you could get it with a Zesty Ranch. Also, grabbed some fries. The wife had Rachel’s Rueben again, with chips. Our Server was Kathy “Masshole”. A wonderful young lady, formerly from a northern state, but with humor and a smile of a Southern Belle. If you’re wondering where you should eat today, stop in, and enjoy. Then come back and give me a heart, if you loved the experience!
Just had to try out another sandwich. Stopped back in 02/06/2024. Had Miss Lexi as our server today. She was sweet as could be, kind and attentive. Another fine example of the great crew that Dagwood’s Deli has. The wife ordered her favorite again, the French Dip. The sandwich I chose today came off the Jumbo Sandwich section of the menu, and that should have been my first warning. I went in hungry, and asked for a big sandwich, and that’s what I received. The Beach Boy Sandwich! Packed full of salami, pepperoni and provolone cheese, heated, bread toasted, and I had them place tomato with mayo on it. I have never met a sandwich I couldn’t finish, until now! Another home run! Thanks to Miss Lexi for a wonderful lunch, and it was great to see Miss Danielle again! If you’re in the area, make sure to stop in. Stopped back in 12/27/23 to see if I could devour another good sandwich. Sure enough, two good things happened. One, we had sweet Miss Danielle again as our Server. I am a firm believer in driving a good distance as long as the food is good, but better yet, the service is awesome! Make sure when you stop in for lunch to ask if Danielle is working. Absolute sweetheart. Okay, secondly, I chose the Soup and Sandwich today. I chose a roast beef, cheese on rye, along with a creamy tomato soup. Refer to the photo, it was as filling and great tasting as it looks! The wife had the French Dip again, as she loved it so much the first time. There is two good reasons why we drove by 100 other eateries to have lunch here. Great service and awesome sandwiches. Thanks again, Miss Danielle! We also met another Server, wonderful young lady from Boston, I do believe her name was Miss Kathy. Stopped back in 12/16/23 as I just had to try the Rachel’s Rueben. Yes indeed, it was just as good as the wife said it was. She ordered the French Dip this time, and was pleasantly surprised with the good amount of meat they piled on the sandwich. You just can’t beat their meats! We had Cheyenne as our server. Great sense of humor, attentive and kind. If you’re looking for a good sports bar and restaurant, don’t drive past this place. Diamond in the sand. Thanks...

I ordered from this restaurant through DoorDash for pickup, and what I expected to be a quick, simple meal turned into a frustrating mess. One of the items I ordered was an orange ice cream float. When I showed up to grab the food, I was handed what looked like half a cup of orange soda. Naturally, I asked about it, and the staff casually told me the ice cream was in the bag separately “so it wouldn’t be sloppy” by the time I got home.
Maybe that logic holds up if it’s a long-distance delivery—but I was literally there in person, picking it up. Not only was I not going far, I had my kid in the car, and I ordered the float specifically to keep him occupied. Instead, I had to go back to the car, dig through the bag, and manually construct a float like it was some kind of DIY project. And of course, there were no utensils, no straw, no napkins—nothing. I had even explicitly requested utensils in the app. How was I supposed to scoop ice cream into a cup of soda? With my hands?
So now I'm walking back inside again just to get basic things that any halfway competent restaurant would include by default—especially in a tourist-heavy area where they should know people may not have spare utensils or napkins on hand. It’s basic service. And they failed it completely.
Now onto the food. Honestly, it wasn’t even good. The chicken tenders were the kind with that cheap, overly thick breading that peels off the meat in chunks and feels like you’re eating fried batter more than chicken. It completely killed the flavor and texture. I’ve had better from a gas station.
The sandwich I ordered? Just as forgettable. I didn’t even finish it, and I love sandwiches. That should tell you everything. It was dry, bland, and tasted like something slapped together without care or seasoning. I want to say I got an appetizer too—but I genuinely can’t remember what it was, and that says a lot about how underwhelming the whole thing was.
I spent nearly $50 here for chicken tenders, a sandwich, and what was supposed to be a float, and not a single part of the order delivered any real value. Between the poor service, the lack of basic items, and the mediocre food, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. If you do end up ordering from here, double-check every single item in your bag—because chances are, they’re going to...
Read moreI've been a customer of Dagwoods for over 20 years. Today was my first WORST experience ever. I hope it was a fluke because if not, this location will ruine the Dagwoods Name! My wife and I order. We receive our food. I go to pick up my sandwich and the bottome bun was so soggy it literally fell apart. So as I sit an wait to say something to my waitress that my very expensive sandwich just fell apart on me, I wasn't seen for 10 mins. She asks how everything was, I explained so she takes it away. About 15 mins later, "after my wife's food is now cold, cause who likes eating alone, I had a manager bring my food out to me. Which I swear was the same half of sandwich from first time and a new half cause on side was still extremely soggy while other was perfect. Waitress asks if I liked it and I said it was OK, and she was never seen again. Now after we finished eating sitting for another 15mins waiting on a check, the manager comes up after hearing me say I'm leaving a bad review and asks what we needed. I say my check and he goes an gets it. Not only did we pay 7$ for 2 sweet teas, but we also paid 1.95 for some "no cash feee" yet I paid cash, got charged for ranch and honey mustard ANNNNND my soggy, old, remade sandwich was full price. So needless to say I didn't feel obligated to tip and didn't. Again hope this was a one time deal, because if not, that location will ruine...
