Mom and I stopped by here for dinner the other day. She said it’s one of her go to spots for pizza in Cleveland so I had to give it a try. For starters, it feels like you’re stepping into a Rat-pack Speakeasy as soon as you enter. The ambiance was breathtaking and I truly fell in love with their decor, being a Frank Sinatra fan. I tried their chocolate martini and it was made perfectly! My mother got her usual, the strawberry lemon drop martini, and said it was tasty as always. For starters, we ordered the Buffalo wings and as our entrees, she did a build your own pizza and I did a build your own pasta. The wing sauce was really good and had the perfect balance of spicy and savory. I do wish that they were a little more fresh because they seemed dry on the inside, but the sauce helped to combat that. The pasta was BOMB. You can tell the Alfredo sauce is made in house and the pasta was cooked to perfection! Mom said her pizza had the perfect crunch on the crust and bottom, but the dough on the inside was warm and soft like a perfect pizza should be. All in all, I loved this place and will definitely be back soon.

Our waitress readily and freely admitted that this was her 2nd day, so I will give grace. We had to repeat everything. Refills, order correction, etc. She was very nice and pleasant, tho. Another young lady was helping her so it also lessened the angst. We had the mozzarella sticks (or whatever they call them) for appetizers. They were soooooo good. I think the sauce was a little salty but I would order it again. Definitely tasty. The food is good as well. We ordered chicken parm, spaghetti 🍝 with meatballs and some other pasta. I'm not a fan of the sauce used with the chicken parm. I ordered it because I thought it would be the same sauce as the mozzarella sticks. It is not and kind of chunky. They give ginormous portions. You probably can't sit and eat the whole thing. You'll definitely take some home. I would return.

My wife talked this place up a lot and we finally made it to trying the restaurant. Very chilled and oldies style vibe, with an excellent drink selection, and delicious food. Service was great! Our server was nice and helped give thoughts about menu items. Food and menu variety was fantastic! We will be back because we saw so many other food items on the menu we’d want to try. We had breadsticks, Mac and cheese, hot honey pizza, and a pesto pizza. I can’t remember the names but as you can see from the pictures, we couldn’t wait to try them. The breadsticks are so soft and unique compared to other restaurants. Highly recommend for anybody looking for good Italian food.

The staff is super friendly and the décor is really nice! This location has very accessible parking, a nice bar, and the interior has a lot of seating. Unfortunately, the food is just not up to par with the Rocky River location Danny Boys at the moment, but I'm sure that'll change. The North Olmsted location provided less toppings on pizza and pasta dishes than the River one, at least in my experience and the experience of some coworkers that live in the area. I really want to love DB North Olmsted, I just think it needs a bit of time to find itself.

UPDATE 1 - Tried the Tater Tots. They weren't bad, but were similar to tots you'd find at other locations with some tasty flavoring. Not really a stand-out dish, but was pretty delicious.

UPDATE 2- Ordered the deep dish pepperoni and was kinda disappointed. Little toppings on our pizza compared to other brands of deep dish pizza. It was a 90% crust to cheese / sauce / pepperoni pizza. When I think "Danny Boys", I think delicious food stuffed with TONS of toppings.

UPDATE: 3 - Heard a complaint from a coworker about the amount of fillings in his dish that he ordered over the weekend and one of the other people at his table. Will give it another shot down the road after they've been open a bit

UPDATE: 4 - Well, decided to give it another run. Went up there for my grandmother's birthday and decided to head in early to grab a table. Arrived at shortly after 6 PM, waited ~45 minutes for a table and were eventually asked if we would be willing to seat 5 in one of the rounded booths to be seated quicker. it was a bit crammed, but we were pretty hungry. (For the record, I do not suggest more than 4 in these booths) We ordered our food around 7, but didn't receive our pizza until after 8. The manager was kind and apologized for the extended waits, even offering desert and a gift card for a return visit, which was much appreciated by our group. I know our experiences aren't indicative of all customers for this location, but I sensed that carry out customers were placed in priority when compared to the speed of service for seated customers in the restaurant. Although some of the food is delicious, the consistency has been hit or miss in our case and we will likely choose other locations before ordering from here. Best of luck to Danny Boys N. Olmsted, but there are other establishments that are quicker, cheaper, and offer similarly tasty pizza.

Update #5: After being asked for my personal information from Danny Boys to send something (I'm guessing a gift card for the frustration with the issues above?) and providing said information, nothing was received. I didn't ask for anything initially, but don't promise a customer that you'll make things right and then drop the ball, twice.

Update #6: After the 5th update above and another reminder, I did receive a letter from DB in regards to the issues above. I'll give them another...

I'll start by saying the Pizza was worthy of 5 stars. A little pricey, but the quality matched the price.

The service in the restaurant was some of the worst I've ever experienced. It was a Saturday afternoon, right around lunch time. There were a total of 6 tables sat, including ours. There were, what appeared to be, three different servers. We went in with another family. Total at our table was 4 adults, 2 kids. It took an unusual amount of time for our drink order to be taken. Then, it took even longer for our food order to be taken. Off to a rough start. Once the food order was placed, a solid half hour went by and then the kids meals were delivered. About 15 minutes after that, our friends' order was delivered. 10 or so minutes later, our order was delivered. About 15 minutes after that, the appetizer was delivered. We were there for nearly 2 hours. Not ideal with kids.

We had to flag a waitress down for refills on drinks, which sat empty for the duration of the meal. Luckily we got refills in time for the appetizer...which was the last thing we received.

The waitresses all seemed rushed and flustered...or just generally unhappy. Like we were inconveniencing them.

The food was outstanding, though. I'll give it that. I'd be willing to order it as take out. But it's definitely not worthy of sitting down and having to tip people for a...
