I've driven past this place probably 1,000 times since my Mom lives near there and I had never stopped...BIG MISTAKE. My loss. My Mom and I went this week and weren't very hungry so we ordered a combo, 12 inch tuna sandwich and split it, plantains for the side, and two drinks. First, the tuna sandwich...after the first bite I thought...I should NOT have split this with Mom. It was a warm sandwich which was a pleasant surprise, the bread had a pleasant crunch to it, the veges were fresh, and the tuna flaky. Only thing I'll add the next time, (which will be tomorrow), is cheese. Second, the plantains. Unbelievable. Once again, I should NOT have split those either. Very sweet, extremely good, I will be getting two orders of them alone sometime very soon. Lastly, the service. We were immediately acknowledged as soon as we came in the door. The handsome gentleman behind the counter pleasantly and patiently explained the questions I had regarding the menu, and the food was reasonably priced and came out quickly. When we left we were told to have a good afternoon. That's Service! Cuco's is a gem I am so glad I stopped to check out and will be placed high on my...
Read moreI hate to give this place a three star rating but I'm only doing it on the sandwiches and not on their customer service which is excellent. They are super sweet and very accomodating, but their Cuban sandwich is not a Cuban sandwich. I read a lot of reviews saying this was the best Cuban they had ever eaten. It's clear now that they have never had a real Cuban sandwich. I really wanted to love the sandwich but I was disappointed, It was tasty but it's not a Cuban. The sandwich doesn't have swiss cheese, if it did it was so little I couldn't even taste it and it should not have salami, It's basically a panini. Their croquette sandwich is basically out of a box and you can put that together yourself at home. Go extra Cuban and put ham and swiss cheese if you're cooking it yourself. Their pork chunks are good and you should have them with some maduros. Have a Materva or an Iron Beer to...
Read moreI just Love this quaint little shop it's authentic Cuban and the same family been running for many years, I always order the Cuban on flat bread / Yuca fries and a drink a little bit over 10 bucks but well worth it, The pork, ham, pastrami are well distributed and the mustard and pickle just come together perfectly the flat bread needs a strong bite to flow into mixture providing and really aromatic taste before you begin the chew goes. I fine myself Everytime here having one of those rare chewing experiences with my mind being overwhelmed, with flavor, and pure enjoyment . Its best to catch this one during non peak at lunch tables are what's available they have some area outside also but it is also what makes it unique sharing your experience with...
