Beto's — Restaurant in North Salt Lake

I like Beto's but not this location near the Foxboro community. My review is about a year old but I didn't have a google account, and feel people should know to avoid this location and either go to La Montana across the street or the Beto's in Bountiful (which I've enjoyed a few times). There is sometimes a language barrier when I order, especially if I ask anything off menu such as, "Can I have a burrito but have it smothered in chili verde?" Several times before when I've ordered this I get charged for a second burrito, which is fine, I understand the person taking the order might not speak English very well, but I usually try to explain I don't want a second burrito and its just fine. The reason for the 1 start is a the female cashier was very rude about it. After she gave me the total, I signed the credit card receipt and asked why the price was so high. She simply kept repeating the price (which is fine because of the language barrier), but when I said I want just ONE burrito and pulled my card back out, she angrily showed me the receipt and used profanity under her breath, and when she told the line cook in the back about the change he swore (In Spanish - even though I don't speak the language, I know enough to understand profanity). I asked for my money back and she refused initially so I insisted. I wanted a refund for my entire order, but instead she only gave me back only half the refund and then threw the order (which had been cooked already in the time I was talking to her) at me. Despite being terrible service it was very fast service, I guess. I didn't have enough willpower to fight for the entire refund so I just took the burrito and left. The burrito by the way was great, very tasty as always, but the service was beyond...

Worst customer service we’ve experienced at a restaurant!

We did a drive through order for over $45. We realized after our order the we had forgotten to order one side of chips & one side of beans. Rather than stay in the drive through (there were no other cars there at that time) we parked and walked in to add to our order. There was one other couple ordering. We ordered the chips & beans. Over the next ~25-minutes multiple cars came through & their orders were filled. I could see my order slip & watched as they kept putting other orders in front of ours. I finally asked the person at the counter whe they thought our order would be filled. They asked the cook who looked at me & started shouting at me that he “was filling larger orders” and he “would get to me when he’d get to me”. At this point having been embarrassed by the staff and having a crying baby in the car we left without our order and no offer of refunding our money!

Ordered carne asada fries with the guacamole and sour cream on the side and when I received the order it looked amazing (fries were nice and crispy) however it had the guacamole and sour cream added. I got it on the side since my wife is pregnant and can't have it mixed in so I went inside to get the order corrected. The lady at the front argued with me saying that's how they do it and got upset when I requested another without it. She tells the cook who proceeds to share dirty looks at me the whole time while remaking my order. He finishes the carne asada fries in less than 3 minutes. When I ask for the sour cream and guacamole that should be on the side, they get upset again and put it in these tiny cups. Also, when we got our order the fries were very undercooked and was not the same as the first order. I've been a regular customer here for more than a year and every time we get the sour cream and guacamole on the side it's in bigger cups. Probably won't come...
