Scoops Microcreamery @ Sneads Ferry — Restaurant in North Topsail Beach

I am from Illinois and was visiting a friend who lives in Sneads Ferry. She took me to Scoops for ice cream. Oh my Heavens!!! The ice cream is amazing! Andrea was working that day. She was so amazingly friendly and helpful. I tried a few samples which were all good but the Salted Carmel won me over. There weren’t other customers in the shop at the time so we visited with Andrea. What a pleasure. She was so friendly and we talked for a long time while we ate our ice cream. I told her I would be back again before I went back home. When I walked back in on my last day there she knew me and said “You’re back!” Now that is an employee as amazing as the ice cream!!! I am already missing the Salted Caramel and Andrea!!...

First of all quality ice cream is not filled with air and then frozen. This tasted like flavorless cheap ice cream that you buy at the grocery store. Not only that, but it was a mess and didn’t seem like the folks who worked there loved nor liked their jobs. I got a scoop of butter pecan, we walked the shopping center, and by the time I got back to the ice cream shop, I threw mine away. My wife wished she had done the same. I took my son tonight for a little treat, and I was blown away. I had heard good things about their other location, but this was beyond what I had heard. I knew it would be good when I walked in and could smell the waffle cones. My son got strawberry ice cream, and it tasted like the ice cream my mom made when I was a child. No artificial tastes here. I got a dairy free option that was coffee flavored, and it was easily the best dairy free ice cream I have ever tried. The texture and creaminess were spot on with the dairy options everywhere else.
