Santa Maria Bakery 1 — Restaurant in North Township

Ordered a tres leches cake for my baby shower. The cake itself was delicious however the customer service and decorations on the cake were TERRIBLE! As far as the customer service goes it isnt a good idea to call the customer an hour before the cake needs to be picked up and tell them the cake is going to be done later. I didnt know later was a time! My husband had to be firm and tell them we needed it by 10 and they acted like that was hard. Then they have the nerve to hang up on me. When I go pick up the cake the stars on the cake were a joke. It looked like a toddler drew them. To top it off they didnt even have a lid for the cake so they expected that I drive around and take the cake outside with no lid? I will never get a cake from this place again based on their reliability and customer service.

Responding to your reply, because of the lid that the owner gave, the cake smashed against it. Because of the cake not being ready I was late to my shower. And no offense but a 10 dollar discount on a 80 dollar cake was nice but if you are going to charge that much for a cake make sure its what your customer is going to be happy with. And my advise to your business would be if you guys arent cake artist maybe you shouldn't offer decorating a cake if you arent able to. Today's experience began just as soon as I stepped out of the car and was warmly greeted by the wonderful smells that permeated the air! Once inside this cute little place my eyes joyfully danced around from one glass case to the other not knowing what to pick first! The selection was overwhelming and I had to control myself knowing these beauties are all fresh and not full of preservatives so they won't last long enough for me to devour them all in time. Which, thank goodness is a very good thing, for my waistline anyway. Ha! Whom I kidding? All that really means is that I will just HAVE to come back! Surprisingly, for as much as we bought for our fam of 7, it was so incredibly affordable. In all honesty, I thought I went way over buying bec we got a lot of yummies to try but it was still so inexpensive! Look at all the stuff we got (not everything is pictured bec it didn't fit on 2 platters). You can see for yourself and then run over there and experience your own "pan dulce ecstasy!" P.S. Yes these beauties were as delicious as they looked! So soft, fresh and very delicious. Excellent panaderia pán here! By seeing the exterior of this spot, I felt I had to try it. That’s exactly what I did.

My significant other and I walked inside. It wasn’t too big, but there certainly was a variety of items.

I grabbed tongs and a tray by the entrance. I ended up getting a Pineapple pastry. It had a slightly hard surface. I also got a Vainilla pastry. That one had a soft surface and scattered colors on it.

I was excited to get home and try the items. I almost wanted to slam them down during the drive home, but I ended up being patient and waiting.

The Pineapple pastry was pretty good, but I think it would have been better with more filling. The Vainilla pastry was soft and flavorful. I enjoyed it more than the Pineapple pastry.

The service was good. The employee checked me out fast.

Overall, it was a cool spot to try out. I might go again if I’m in the area.
