Had an excellent dinner here as part of our hotel meal package. The food itself was phenomenal, with more than sufficient portions. Their salad bar is also one of the better ones I’ve seen. Everything looked and tasted very fresh, and they even had items beyond the basics like assorted bean/pasta salads and stuffed grape leaves.
The service, however, left a little to be desired. We got seated right away, but it took about 10 minutes for a waitress to come take our drink orders. And while she was very nice to us throughout the meal, she was not very attentive. We had to frequently wait for her to pass by and wave her over if we needed something. However, due to the short staffing, she seemed very overwhelmed, so I can definitely give a pass on this. The other thing I found weird was that there were no plates at the salad bar. Instead, the waitress brought each person one and you would reuse it on each trip to the salad bar. Personally, I was ok with it, but I could see how some would not be. Besides, I think there is some health code regarding used plates and buffets, due to contamination concerns. The only logical explanation I could think of for this would be that they’re trying to use less dishes on account of having less dishwashers due to the staff shortage. However, the kitchen staff must still be running without a hitch, as our food arrived quickly and was done perfectly (which quite honestly is the main thing that matters).
All in all, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a classic east coast diner in Wildwood. And if you have the meal tickets from a hotel like we did, you will most certainly be getting the...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best Diner & Family Restaurant in Wildwood, NJ — A Jersey Shore Must-Visit! As a Level 8 Google Local Guide with over 37 million photo views, I can honestly say Vegas Diner & Restaurant in Wildwood, New Jersey is one of the top-rated restaurants at the Jersey Shore — and for good reason. This iconic Wildwood diner is open 7 days a week, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner just minutes from the Wildwood Boardwalk.
We started with a rich, smooth caramel & cold brew latte and an indulgent Oreo milkshake — both perfect whether you’re heading to the beach or ending a night out. Their famous Boston Crème pancakes are a Wildwood legend: fluffy, golden, and filled with creamy custard. The shrimp scampi was fresh and flavorful, while the chicken pesto sandwich and western avocado burger were hearty, satisfying, and made with quality ingredients.
For dessert, the cannoli waffle and silky chocolate mousse are worth the trip alone. One standout feature? The full salad bar — one of the only ones left in the Wildwoods — fully stocked with crisp, fresh options. If you’re craving Italian classics, the chicken parm and portobello mushroom entrée hit the spot every time.
Whether you need a family-friendly restaurant in Wildwood NJ, a hearty Jersey Shore breakfast near the boardwalk, or fresh seafood after a day at Morey’s Piers, Vegas Diner & Restaurant is a must-visit. Generous portions, welcoming staff, and a menu packed with crowd-pleasers make it a place locals love and visitors return to...
Read moreI have been coming to the Vegas Diner for many years and always had a nice meal with good service. However, I was there on Sunday morning 8/20/23 and the meal was poor to say the best. I was a party of four and each of us did not finish their meals. I for one ordered a western omelet and it came over cooked and extremely salty. My hash browns were more like mashed potatoes. Toast was the only item that they did not screw up. I can accept this, since it was my first bad experience but to add to the morning --- our waitress did not want to be there and basically ignored our table along with others she was handling. Never asked if we wanted a refill of coffee or how was our meal. It was delivered and we did not see her until getting the bill. All the other waiters and waitress' were pleasant and efficient. We did not even get her name. Just an FYI, I go out often and never have an issues with the staff. I am very polite and at times jovial --- I tip very well most times over 20% and in cash, as I worked as a bartender during college days to earn money and understand how the money is made. I did not want to call the manager because I do not like to get others in trouble. This was a bad experience and I will try the other diners in the area before going back. All in all, Vegas is a good place but this morning was totally...
