I love getting a double Whopper with cheese and a large order of the best fries in American fast food, but I've found myself not going to my childhood Burger King location at all after going inside instead of just the drive through. When I went inside, I was greeted with a very familiar look, one that remained the same for apparently the last 20 years.
Not only was the look highly dated, but the ceiling tiles were moldy, the big garden window filthy, and the place looked like it hasn't been kept up since I was a child. I've stopped going here because although nostalgia is an amazing experience, not getting food poisoning, tetanus, or mold allergies is more important.
Although possibly clean enough to pass an inspection, this place needs to be fixed up and modernized, especially with the recently renovated Taco Bell across the street. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this Burger King location until it has been updated, or at all.
By the way, the bathrooms smelled like a zoo, literally, smelled like a zoo. You know what they say, if the bathrooms aren't clean, the food...
Read moreAfter working a 14 hour shift and seeing they open at 5:30am you'd think that they'd have people in the store and have things going.
The food is always good through the day but when I see an open time of 5:30 I expect there to be service at 5:30, not someone just showing up to start prep at 5:30.
On top of that, I can hear people inside as I sit in the drive-thru waiting for some kind of service. I call, nobody answers. I go through the drive-thru and nobody responds.
If you can't keep your hours of operation, then change them to a time that can be properly managed.
Other than my exhausted and hungry rant, it's otherwise good. Friendly staff and the food is always hot and properly made. I recommend this one.
Update: Not a fluke situation. They should simply change their hours if they can't open this early.
Update 2: This time it's almost an hour past their opening time and still not open. Probably because their hours on Google do not reflect their posted hours of...
Read moreI have been eating at this location for approximately 50 years, and over the years, the service has gotten worse, and worse, and worse. I was in town visiting and I stopped by my favorite Burger King restaurant on Waukeegan Road in Glenview. I placed in order for food in the drive thru and the order was 50% WRONG. I made a phone call to the establishment once we realized that the order was WRONG, told them what happened, and the lady hung up the phone on me! That was so, so, sooooo RUDE and extremely UNprofessional, and this is EXACTLY why the Culver's burger joint down the street has a packed dining room, and a packed drive through from open to close. I'm sorry to say this, Burger King, but our family will NOT be returning to your establishment. All I can say is, BEST OF LUCK, and you won't be getting anymore...
