I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but this place was absolutely disgusting. I walked in to pickup an online order, and the place was trashed. Dirty used forks and food all over the tables, the counter where they prepare the food was filthy and covered in spilled food mess, the big “we’re hiring” sign on the window falling off next to a table filled with promotional material unattended.
When I walked in, the entire staff seemed to be congregated around the register/food prep area socializing. I also saw no less than three employees with their masks down, all immediately next to all of the exposed food trays on the counter. Not very COVID-safe at all.
They all seemed startled when I walked in, dispersed to their stations, and then when I said I had an online order the guy behind the food prep exited his station to go check my bag while the other employees continued to stand around. They forgot my drink, which I informed them of, and they quickly grabbed it. I wish I had checked the rest of the order, because sure enough that was not the only thing wrong.
The orders of chips and queso and chips and guacamole were served in the tiny side portions rather than the full size containers they are supposed to come in. The chips were all stale and incredibly greasy. The food in my burrito bowl was also quite literally spoiled. I didn’t risk eating it and getting food poisoning. The lettuce was all brown and wilted, the tomatoes, corn, and onions were all translucent and sickly looking, the sofritas looked all separated/watery, and the rice looked old and congealed.

Read moreI ordered a chicken al pastor quesadilla to be delivered to my house via the Chipotle App. I had ordered it around 3:40 so that it would arrive before I would have to leave for my shift. This is not my first time ordering the quesadilla, in the past it has come as pictured on their website (attached below). However, this time when I opened up the box I was quite literally shocked. It was simply a piece of taco bread (wrong bread), a regular amount of cheese, AND A SINGULAR PIECE OF CHICKEN. Unacceptable, simply unacceptable.
I then called the online number for this Northbrook, IL location and who picked up. Not the restaurant, not someone in Manilla, but a robot. And what makes the robot so bad is that they had a fake typing noise while the robot was "working on it", which not only is meant to trick people but undermines societies intellect.
I was able to stop at the store with the food on my way to work, upon arrival I spoke with the employee behind the toppings section of the line, presented to him my "quesadilla" in which he kindly said he would remake. Regretfully I did not check the new quesadilla before leaving for my work, but when I arrived my work I opened the quesadilla and it was the exact same but this time more cheese and two pieces of chicken, the worst customer service I have ever witnessed.
After my shift I went back to the Chipotle and asked to see the manager. A 21 year old with very red eyes walked out and responded with "mhmm" to my story. Thats all I have to say regarding that. Janet said I could order half brisket half steak and she would only charge me half the upcharge on the brisket. So I said, thats cool. When I got the checkout, the order was full upcharge. So I asked them what about, the 0.90 cents instead of 1.80 and she said sorry she mispoke that she meant its still all 1.80 even though its half. I told her ohh ok, no problem, Ill just like all brisket then. She said sorry wrong order we cant remake it and waste ur order. I said well you’re asking me to waste my money (why didnt you just pay what you misspoke about?) she wanted to refute the extra 0.90 shes asking me to pay. After I realized she wasnt getting anymore and it seems like they would refuse to remake my order, whatever, I paid for it. She told me she would give me a customer service number for my guest issue that she couldnt fix on her manager level to waive the 0.90 lol. So I said fine, she wrote down some number.
