Mr.Wonton — Restaurant in Northfield

I reserve 5/5 stars for truly exceptional restaurants, but for takeout and delivery this place is as close to 5 stars as you will get in the area. There's no transaction fee for ordering online. A nearby business started doing that and by the time I got done tipping, paying the delivery fee and the online transaction fee I felt like I got ripped off. Sorry, it's 2020 and not everyone has cash on them at the time they order food or have a paper menu. The food was very good. The General Tso's chicken tasted fresh and crispy. I ordered it as a lunch special which came with either soup or rice and an egg roll. The amount of food you get for $7.25 is an excellent deal. We all like deals, right? The window for a "lunch special" is 11a.m. to 3:30p.m. which is more than fair. I also ordered a shrimp toast appetizer which was just right. It wasn't too greasy and it came with a dipping sauce which was a nice touch. Now I feel like I won't go back to ordering at other places nearby which I have been loyal to for years. My order arrived in a timely manner during a busy time of the day. If you're reading this during the covid-19 pandemic, I will assure you that the delivery driver was wearing a mask and was very polite. Online ordering was more straightforward than other places from which I've ordered in the past. That's another plus in my book. I'm looking forward to eating my leftovers today. The only con I have with Mr. Wonton is very minor. I didn't care for the prepackaged soup/chow-mein noodles (the cracker type things they send along when you order soup). That's not their fault. It's the manufacturer that makes them. I prefer fresh, deep fried ones. No big deal. I gave them to my dog and she was ecstatic. My fortune cookie said "be a winner". Well, Mr. Wonton must've followed the same advice. If anyone asks where to go for Chinese food takeout in Northfield or nearby, that's where I'm...

We are loyal to mr wonton. Anytime we order chinese food, we order mr wonton and only mr wonton. My girlfriend “elizabeth”, is a regular but its always for both of us.

Tonight we ordered 40 mins before closing and arrive at closing, they were beyond patient, called us and let us know they were closing, and were welcoming.

Dont be us showing up at 9 pm…not cool.

Thankfully they delivered quality yet again, and after 12 hours of deck building, we are so happy to eat comfort food. And today was one of the best times its ever tasted. It was flawless every order, thank you!

My only go to place for chinese and ive had many others are ventnor, eht, absecon, northfield…..its mr wonton for the win!

Beef lo mein and generals chicken. All you need everytime!

We just finished our meal and WOW!!! My boyfriend & I both agreed it was the best Chinese food we've had in a really long time!! We ordered General Tso's Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, a Roast Pork Egg Roll & a Shrimp Egg Roll, and everything was phenomenal. The entreé portions were HUGE & I even have leftovers for lunch tomorrow!! 😎 It took us over a year since we moved here to find a good place within delivery range, but I think we've found our new fav Chinese food restaurant!!
