I most definitely wanted to give this store a much higher rating..
Purchased a sofa and a few other things.. cashier Was overwhelmed by the AMT of people in line and our purchases.. became flustered and a little bit rude.. refused to answer questions by saying 'You have to wait' she became disrespectful when I asked her about discounts for certain populations as listed on blue sheet taped to front desk. At no time was help offered nor did she ask for help as she became increasingly flustered.
We we're told we could pick up the sofa around back in which we stated we'd have to return later as we needed to unload the truck first. We we're told we had 24 hrs. Next day arrive in the back to pick up and upon pulling up found a woman who worked there already loading someone else up so we got out of the truck and inquired only being met with what felt like a scolding. This same attitude seemed to be this woman's ugly demeanor. Definitely not meant for Customer Service position of any kind. She was so unpleasant that even the cashier... Yes the same woman... looked liked a scared toddler hiding behind her afraid to speak at all yet she could've defused the whole situation with a simple yes or no. The sofa was pushed out of the backdoor on a tiny dolly with no support and the woman stared us down like she was the Lion and we were prey. I will never step 1 foot in that store again.n I'd like to add and express that I shopped at many Restore locations and was excited to be visiting another. I have never felt so disrespected and BULLIED in any other location. To which the Bully replied 'ALL STORES ARE INDIVIDUALLY OWNED' Which makes me happy as I would be saddened if any other Restore location lost business due to this review.
Restore .. Habitat for Humanity is and always will be 1 of my favorite stores to shop... Just not the Egg Harbor Township location unless you like being...
Read moreThe workers don't have the most pleasant attitudes. One lady was partly okay; one needed some adjustments. But, we all have bad day right! It was pouring raining and I purchase an arm chair on Friday; before Mother's Day. They were having a sale; after paying for it I was told by the gentleman that I had to pick it up within 24 hrs., of purchase. Something that should have been explained prior to purchase; not after. I found that a bit deceptive. I tried to pick it up on Saturday in my car but it didn't fit. I couldn't get anyone because of the rain and because they just weren't available until Monday. I called back and got one of the ladies and she said that she would not hold it until Monday; because that don't have room. My thought though is, if I had not purchased the chair, it most likely would have still been in the store; so what would have been the difference. Plus, no one was coming out in the rain to shop at Habitat For Humanity; it was not that important. In my opinion she could have worked with me a little better; in order keep me coming back and for good advertising. I did get my neighbor to meet me there on Sunday to pick it up; because that's what she insisted upon. The terrencial 🌧 made it tuff. At least, I know now how they operate and I will take that in consideration before I purchase anything that's...
Read moreWas exceedingly disappointed. Don't expect a great deal here. Most of it sofas, some priced at $1000 (new) well, those that were marked at least. Many weren't labeled new or used. I saw a cabinet that had the handles on the drawers and doors installed facing inward. Hey, we all make mistakes but take 10 minute to fix it before you put the thing out. Cheapest sofa there about $300. Need a new sink? No? Me neither. However, if you are in the market, they have them there. Want a basic computer chair for $25? Stop in there. Poor selection, no major savings, no need for me to go. Perhaps you'll get lucky or want to support the cause. By all means, go for it. Me, I'm poor. I need a deal on multiple pieces...
