Sushi Town Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Egg Harbor Township

I had come here Saturday 6/15/2024 and in my mind I had it being as a huge restaurant. It's a small hole in the wall of a restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice and calm. There is seating with tables and just seating with chairs. A Vending machine and the sweetest people I have met. I do not live in the area and wanted sushi for my aunts birthday and highly enjoyed myself. The little kid who was 4 was an absolute pleasure. He was the sweetest and kept us company while we waited for our food. I enjoyed the food very much. The shrimp and cream cheese dumplings are small but absolutely delicious. I only like cooked sushi nothing raw and I ordered the Pilly which was the smoked salmon and cream cheese with avocado. I also ordered the cucumber and shrimp rolls and they were amazing. I never had seaweed salad before and it was delicious as well. My aunt pretty much ordered the same except she ordered eel on her sushi roll.

I am happy to have gone there over a big restaurant because I was throughly pleased with all the food.

When I visit NJ again I plan to definitely stop back...

It's average sushi. I have no gripes with the service. The people there are quite friendly. It's mainly a local takeout spot. It's not a place I would choose for a nice sit down sushi dinner. Its interior is small. The ingredients are fresh. I think people claiming to have "food poisoning" are probably griping about some other issue. My guess is that they have a specific delivery radius and don't deliver to all parts of Egg Harbor Township and Pleasantville. My main takeaway point is that the sushi is fair at a fair price. If you want better sushi, you have to travel and pay for it. If you're looking for a place to take your family or group of people with a nice ambiance and spacious seating, this is not the place to take them. Like I said, it's like a takeout/delivery restaurant that is small with minimal seating. I've had superior sushi at fine restaurants that I would rate 5 stars so I'm not blindly going to rate "Sushi...

I went on a weekend trip to the shore and needed to go to Walmart to grab a few things. I decided to get some sushi from the nearest location and was met with one of the best experiences I’ve had at a sushi restaurant.

The service itself was quick, taking only 5~ minutes to complete my entire order. The food was fresh, generously portioned, and it only cost us $20 for two rolls, an appetizer, salad and soup. The meal ended up being so good that I drove 25 minutes that same day to taste it again. All the employees had a big smile on their faces when we walked back in, and I left with a 10% coupon if we decided to go again.
