First of all let me preface this by saying that at no point do we ever expect to get good service at this restaurant. That’s just a given. But we forgive that aspect in hopes of satisfying our BBQ cravings. However Sunday night’s experience was particularly awful. Our party of four took OVER TWO HOURS from the time we sat down to the time we left. We had two separate people take our drink orders before a third even brought them to us. It was another 20 minutes before we were ever given a chance to give our food order, which took at least another 45 minutes to come out to us. When our food arrived it wasn’t even warm. Which means that a good portion of the the time it took to get the food out after our order had been placed was spent with the food sitting in the back getting cold. By the time we were trying to give this establishment our hard-earned money for the terrible food and service we got, LITERALLY every single other table (except one group of guys) that came in before AND after us had finished their meals and left (including two large parties of 7-10 people). As compensation (which we didn’t even solicit) our server told us “I was told (by management) I could give y’all free dessert.” First of all when you are trying to appease an unhappy table you do not start off with “I was told I could...“ Secondly, the comp desserts were laughable in their 3oz containers (which weren’t even full). Our drinks were only refilled once and that was at the end of our meal. My diabetic father-in-law had to settle for drinking sweet tea because apparently there was no way of making any unsweet tea. Why did he not just drink water you might wonder? That’s because despite asking for a suitable beverage one was never presented, so when an employee came around with a pitcher of sweet tea he had to accept that if he ever hoped to drink another drop of liquid while we dined there. Only one employee (not the manager) came around and asked us if everything was “OK“ and when I gave my response it was chuckled at as she walked away. We finally had to take our tickets and payment up to the bar just so we could pay and get home with an infant and a toddler - who were as over being at that restaurant as we were. Why we tried so hard to give them our hard-earned money, I don’t know. Because this restaurant surely...
Read moreThis has always been one of my favorite restaurants; however, when my husband and I came in last month we had the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. I didn't want to leave this review but I reached out to the email and I've waited for a response and have yet to receive one. On September 29th, we came in to have lunch. Not only was the service insanely slow, but the waiters weren’t very friendly. I could tell the waitress was rushing with us. I figured they we're just behind because of how slow it was. BUT then when we were finally seated, other tables around of were getting bread and sauce (which has always been given when we have come in before) but we didn’t. The entire time we were there. Never received it. The food wasn’t very good either. Which was very upsetting because it's always been amazing before. To make things worse, the host was cleaning the neighboring table, right next to me, and splashed food on me. Literally, that's how close they were. Trash literally got on me. When I tried to address it, they didn’t even apologize. I felt like it had to be intentional. There's no way I could make this experience up. I'm so upset to even write this review. I think the restaurant needs to improve its service and how it treats customers. Must be new management...
EDIT: cant respond to the comment from the owner but I did reach out on 9/29/24 through email and have yet to receive a reply... which I stated in my review.... their response to every bad review must be...
Read moreNot impressed. Wednesday March 4th, we had a dinner for an occasion with a party of about 30. My sister called the Monday before to inform Dreamland of the large party. So it’s not like they didn’t know we were coming. They said they had us down and “not to worry about the reserved/patio fee”. When we arrived they sat us on the outside patio and they had plastic wrapped around the sides, Let’s not forget it’s raining and the middle of winter so it’s cold. They had 3 heaters but to our surprise they didn’t have propane but for ONE HEATER. As a restaurant if someone calls ahead and tells you they have a party coming, and we are nice enough to give them our business, it’s the restaurant’s job to make sure wherever they seat us is equipped with the necessary things to hold that party especially if they seat you outside in the middle of winter when it’s raining. They should of made sure all 3 heaters were full and functioning. They had one waitress take all 30 orders, and at the end of it they made my sister pay a 50$ patio fee after they told her on the phone she didn’t have to pay it. I understand it’s Dreamland and not a 5 star restaurant, but they had maybe 10 customers inside the entire time we were there. It’s not like they were slammed with people bedsides out one party and they knew ahead of time we were coming. HIGHLEY suggest you don’t reserve any kind of party dinner with them. We will not be eating...
