American Steakhouse — Restaurant in Norwalk

Great price, awful food. Walked in and was confused. Stood in the front of the resteraunt for about 2 minutes before I realized you serve and seat yourself with a number cafeterias style. Ordered a bacon cheese burger medium rare. It's obviously a frozen patty because the outside had a heavy char and the inside was very raw. It was only $4 for the burger, but it was inedible. The bacon was alright, it's the only part I ate, sadly. Cheese not even melted just thrown on top after. It's called American steakhouse but everything at the salad bar was HEAVILY covered in cilantro which I personally can't stand in large amounts and has NO relation to American food in any way. Maybe they do steaks better than burgers, but I probably wouldn't go back after that. Salad bar doesn't have simple items like carrots or ceasar dressing. I had been coming here for the last 15 years, since I was an elementary school. And I’ve always only gotten one thing the ribs, shrimp, and fries and every time I was satisfied and had so much I actually had to take it home. That was until I saw the ribs I got today. This is not me getting bigger and the ribs appearing smaller cuz i was just here a year ago and had a full nice set of ribs. it almost felt like they were cut in half from what I would usually get and served to me at what I assume is a higher price regardless. the taste was still good, I’ll give them that but I ate it all and even got a little bowl of chili. Came here Saturday evening for dinner With my daughter shortly after that evening and the afternoon the next day we had stomach issues throwing up diarrhea everything I called the restaurant and was advised by someone that they would initiate a refund. I have to contact my card and they would have to do it. I called to follow up today because my card advise me that I would need them to initiate the refund first and was told why didn’t I seek medical attention and that they can’t help me any further I can come and see who I spoke with which again I don’t know who I spoke with, so this place besides being very unhelpful, and the food was poor Quality and the service even worse.
