Sierra Grille — Restaurant in Norwalk

I have been coming here since I was a child I’m now 37. The food is always good here and I take my children and wife here as much as possible. I went in last night with my family and spent about $50 which is fine on two kids cheese quesadillas, one shrimp burrito and a chicken quesadilla for myself.

Now everything was going great until we realized they gave me 1 sour cream for the entire table. The issue is e every meal came with chips so 1 for a table of 4 simply wasn’t enough. I went up the register and asked for another tiny cup of sour cream which prob literally costs fifty cents maybe.

The girl behind the register was basically half asleep while working and said “ sorry can’t give you another one you, you only got one meal that includes it”. No lady, I spent $50 and bought 4 meals and I’ve never had this issue before and everyone has chips at the table and I’ve spend thousand and I mean thousand here over the years are we really talking about sour cream?

Luckily.. a nice gentleman took over and handed it to me and all the guys in the kitchen were fantastic like always.

I’nmy Opinion the girl at the register doesn’t know the customer service Industry at all and has no business even making the decision to begin with. If she’s tired, which it seemed like, and wanted to be lazy, and not deal with it,which it seemed like, maybe that just wasn’t her day to be at work? I dunno if it was me I would have said no Problem.

I work in the customer service industry and I can’t fathom how she could tell someone “no” for a plastic 3 inch by 3inch extra sour cream. I would never tell a paying client no unless it was some crazy request and this wasn’t.

Food was great as always but that left a bad taste in my mouth and if she’s going to be the face of the company who people see and interact with firs , she needs to be re trained it at least refreshed on how To...

Update: July 24th 2021 THE MANAGER IS SO RUDE AND WILL WALK AWAY WHEN YOU ARE TALKING TO HIM about their products!!! He refuses to do anything about the mildew in the Coca Cola machine! I reported it to you guys 8 months ago!! And he says we can not bring any drink (canned Coca-Cola product) in the restaurant (though it doesn’t state anywhere that we can’t).That if we want a drink we have to drink from the mildew Coca-Cola machine. We told him we will not be back since they clearly don’t care to serve customer fresh product. Maybe getting in contact with the better business bureaus as well as the health department is needed. You are losing many customers that we know because of this. Do better. ————————————————————

I literally just left this place. @1:15pm 11/08/2020. The food is good. However, the staff mainly the male manager is extremely rude to me and my family on many separate occasions. TODAY is the last time. We were charged extra for something we did not order. The cashier took no accountability and stated that we did order the extra meal (we did not get mad and we’re NOT upset or disrespectful). We turned to the male manager with the grey hair and told him we had a question for him. He completely ignored us for 5 mins straight and after a while told us to step aside while he hands out other customer orders. Once we gain his attention so that we can get a refund on our messed up order he completely rushed us away loudly “yea yea yea” gesturing us to go sit down. He was just so rude the whole time. I wish I could review all the time! Still ordering in winter 2025. Everything is still true, their specials are great!!

Update for end of year: this place is still delicious. I would eat kale if I could eat it with their ranch.

Everytime I order from here I wonder why I don't order more often. The soft chicken tacos used to be my favorite (street sized tacos, great to order by the 3s..or dozen!) but that's been taken over by the chicken burrito bowl (with a side of ranch, of course! 😜) It is simple fresh food done deliciously and affordably.

I also love the Mexican pizza, and the specials are always worth a try.

The food here is super fresh. I'm in the food industry with about two decades of food safety certifications and I never worry about eating here.

Service is always great, and I always leave/finish a meal glad I ordered. It's fresh food done quick.

I love their new online ordering! I'm so happy they updated it, it's really easy to use and makes it convenient for a quick pick up.

Cannot say enough good things about this place!

(Edit: forgot to mention the chips! So crunchy and so good! I don't remember if they still make them there, but either way they are not to be missed with some of their salsa! The salsa bar is back! Pico is always good...
