I want to make it clear that my one star review is not for the product but for the terrible service. I have been a loyal customer at the location in Norwalk. Every night for the past three years I stopped by Donut Delight to get a hot chocolate with my husband after work. We were always happy with the employees and the service they provided until today. The new hired person who was tall and very slim at the drive through window was extremely rude. My husband talked to me as he passed me my drink and the guy at the window thought that we were discussing about him. He became argumentative and very aggressive to the point that he opened the door facing the parking lot yelling and swearing behind us as we were driving away. Unfortunately we wont be returning back not because we don't like the product but because we wouldn't like running up to a person who seems like he just got out of prison. To the owners who worked really hard to build this business please be very cautious about people...
Read moreDonut Delight is a nice change of pace from your typical to-go breakfast chain. But a chain is still a chain lol The quality & service is on the same level as any other Starbucks or Dunkin. I ordered a vanilla iced latte, asked the cashier if they have oat milk - she said yes, then I watched her pour from a machine labeled: Milk, Cream, Almond. So I don’t know if they carry oat milk at all or if she just didn’t understand me. Latte tasted like overly sweetened iced coffee not a drop of espresso which is exactly what I expected. No surprise there. They have a large variety of donuts & other baked goods. The donut holes tasted pretty much just like Dunkins. And I got an onion bagel with cream cheese that was toasted on the OUTSIDE so all the onion bits were burnt. I thought that was unusual, but guess there’s a first time for everything! haha I probably won’t be back, but would recommend to the Starbucks/Dunkin peeps looking to...
Read moreI used to get iced coffee from Donut Delight because Dunkin's version was too watery/weak. Since then I have switched to Starbucks iced coffee for the same reason. That being said, Donut Delight's food is top notch and the freshest of the three Connecticut Avenue coffee places. Breakfast sandwiches use real, freshly cooked eggs and their donuts are fantastic. They have filled croissants and some other awesome baked/pastry items as well. Their smoothies are really good but I wish that they didn't get rid of the milkshakes. Their drive-thru line can get long on weekday mornings but can't be worse than the other two Connecticut Ave coffee places (especially since it is connected to the giant bowling alley...
