Late night visit to IHOP after an evening out with friends. The wait just to order drinks was ridiculous, by then we had our food choices ready to be ordered. Almost about half an hour later.. food. Honestly the food tasted so great it almost made up for the wait. Wasn't happy about portion sizes though. Boyfriend wanted me to try his burger which looked delicious.. and then I noticed a bug on the lettuce sticking out the side I was going to bite. I showed him and I told the server. He apologized and offered to make another or just not charge it. We got another which looked even more delicious and the fries were as fresh as you get. But they were drenched in oil and the burger was so greasy this time he couldn't even eat it. We were already quite upset, that was, until I spotted a COCKROACH walking about beside our table and up the wall. We told a female server that happened to walk by. All she did was stare at it and walk into the back. We didn't see her for about 15 minutes. When she came back she said sorry and that she told the person in charge. Yeah that's fine but not what I want to hear. I'm eating food that you guys made in a place where we already found a bug in one burger and a roach on the wall beside us!! Felt completely sick to my stomach. We decided to leave and as we went to pay, I mentioned to the guy (which was our same bug server) that we had reported a roach to the woman but she seemed indifferent and we had a feeling nothing was reported and decided to ask him. He said he was in charge and he was sorry that they were going to remodel soon and had missed their fumigation date but he would try to get it done that day, it was almost 1 a.m. by the way. That is NO EXCUSE to continue making and serving food in a place where you know you have an infestation! Its disgusting and a HUGE health hazard. If you "missed your fumigation date" you would think that would be your priority. We proceeded to pay a little over $60 dollars for a breakfast sampler with french toast, a bug burger which was replaced by the greasiest burger I've ever encountered, a steak sandwhich, 2 orange juices, and 2 soft drinks. And in the company of cockroaches. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN AND I DON'T RECOMMEND IT EITHER. STAY AWAY UNTIL THEY GET RID OF THEIR ROACHES AND ACTUALLY START CARING ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND HEALTH GUIDELINES...
Read moreIHOP, ...known for its breakfasts, ...during the pandemic, ...stopping by for dinner because they have patio seating and the kids wanted pancakes... All I can say is, Whoa! That was one lonely place at 7pm. We sat in the front, street side, they also have a make-shift patio in the parking lot in back...
I'm sure at breakfast time they're packed...but the whole time this night I only saw 1 waitress & no guests. The inside was totally tables up.
As for the food and service? The menu seems to be reconstructed to a 1 sheet/2sided printed place mat of a truncated menu, and not the half a book they normally have. But the selection was better than a lot of the "pandemic menus" that are cut down to a quarter of normal pre Covid-19 faire.
The food was good enough to everyone's satisfaction, though I ordered chicken and waffles, not the standard strips version, but I asked for "fried chicken & waffles", you know, like at Roscoe's, ...to get that it had to be 2 al a cart orders... it was slightly over cooked to a hard crust but inside the chicken was juicy and not dried out. The waffle was quite good, a little sweet and vanilla-y. I never eat all that starch, but I did this time. The girls had omelets, fajitas, an egg-white ham & cheese, and the swedish pancakes... all were enjoyable, as the plates were clean by meal's end. If you are thinking of avoiding the crowds, but still want to dine out... IHOP at night just might be your best...
Read moreI am deeply disappointed at the lack of hospitality and unprofessionalism displayed at this establishment. I placed an online for curbside pickup. I even opted into the GPS tracker to give the location updates. I arrived on time and waited. After awhile of waiting in my car for an order that never arrived I headed inside. There was about 6 waiters in red shirts walking around and only 4 tables with customers. I stood at the register in view of everyone from 12:31 until 12:56. After 10 minutes I waved down an employee who saw me multiple times and asked for help. Everyone was extremely rude. I am active duty army in business uniform. I was not greeted by employees or even a host to ask for seating. My food was even paid in advance. I don’t know why I was so disrespected. I will never eat here. I’m addition I finally received my food. I did not feel comfortable even trying to eat it. They gave me the vibe that my food had been contaminated. Outside of there the food looks terrible. The pancakes are not cooked correctly and you can visibly tell. The turkey bacon was burn. And the scrambled eggs look scarce with cheese unmelted. I would never eat this even without thinking they harmed it. At the minimum a refund is to be expected. DO NOT EAT HERE. Denny’s is 3 minutes away. Their customer service is sooooo much better. I ended up calling IHOP corporate. We will see if they even do anything. Leaving this review as a...
