My fiancée and I started going here after we had a bad experience at Oishi on Washington Street. Today was the first time we had a pickup order accidentally forgotten since it was busy. But it's day and night for how Kazu handled it than Oishi did. AT OISHI (on Washington Street): Oishi forgot our order, kept telling us to wait 15 minutes when we arrived, this went on until it got close to 1 hour, we got irritated and they said the chef started cooking our food, but they wouldn't give us a time estimate so we left hungry. AT KAZU: What Kazu did that was great, I went in, they noticed that they didn't put their order in and immediately took responsibility. But what they did was offered my fiancée and us a beer while we waited, gave us a reasonable 10-15 minute timeline to expedite the order (which was the same size order for two people as we had ordered at Oishi), actually delivered on that timeline (and had a fun conversation as I waited), then included a bottle of sake to go (which I wasn't expecting on top of the beers they already gave). Customer service A++, food is great, they've become my go to do Japanese food during pandemic and this solidifies it. Hope to bring my friends in for drinks and sushi soon!

I grew up eating at Kazu, then heading to the movie theatre next door—so many good memories here. I'm so happy the entrées and pricing have remained stellar after all these years. I truly love coming here; the food and service are simply amazing every time. Stacy was my waitress, and she’s always so attentive, hospitable, knowledgeable about the menu, and kind. Now, the menu… the buffalo dumplings are delicious and creative—I love the spicy, savory kick. The eel roll is so tasty, with salmon roe, seaweed, eel, and crab. My all-time favorite dish is their bento box—it has a little bit of everything and generous portions. Can’t wait to dine here again!

I had the seared tuna steak served with teriyaki vegetables and ponzu sauce. Outstanding flavor and presentation. For appetizers I had two oysters on the half shell as well as two pieces of octopus sushi. The sushi was fantastic and frankly I've never had better oysters. I highly recommend this restaurant.

ABSOLUTE WORST customer service, satisfaction, and communication I have either ever experienced or I was wrongly treated as a patron. They try to upcharge you more for you any additions to rolls, nevermind the actual cost of ingredients I request to ommit. Every single time I come and place my order lately, every server rings my order up differently, hence, they take personal preference of charging based on their consumer knowledge or NOT caring or even yet, this generation of workers does NOT understand the definition of service/consumer and customer. Absolutely disgusted. The WORST part as well, be prepared for your server's attitude to come out to the forefeont of your meal. You have no say in what YOU pay for. They are disrespectful and rude, thinking they are the owner of the joint. I lived in Norwalk for 4 months, 8 attempts, both for eating there and to go, have been nothing short of arguments with their hotheaded staff to getting charged COMPLETELY diff amount for same order over and over. When I question for the "manager", I am constantly referred to call the owner in the morning. ABSOLUTE fraud and nasty service.

Yes, good sushi but def a scam and rude staff to even want to order. Do not fall victim to disrespect as I just learned 8 out of 10 times. It is fresh, just TERRIBLE and...

4 minute walk after our visit to Maritime Aquarium. It was spacious and not busy for a Friday afternoon. The kids bentos for the kids were awesome. 5 different varieties of foods. My son loved the chicken. It was not overly fried. For the price it wasn't bad.

The sushi was good. The rice for the sushi was not overwhelming. My husband had the shrimp lunch special which was okay, he didn't complain. Everyone was satisfied with their meals. The fried ice cream was soooo good. The fried banana that came with it.....was 😋

The only downside is if you decide to bring a baby that requires diaper change.....you're not gonna find the changing table in there. Already spoke with the staff. Hopefully they will find a solution to it.

Overall I would definitely go back...
