If I were rating this place without consideration to my server, it would be 1-2 stars.
Spent 2 hours here in a mostly empty facility, an hour before getting the entree.
Started with the biscuits which is around 9 bucks. it's 3 biscuits with 3 ramicans. While okay, the biscuits should be served warm. These were not heated up, rather hard and dry, and flat. Ramicans contained some alright spreads. Brought plates to use that had coffee stains on them.
Entree I got was huevos rancheros and fellow diner got classic breakfast. The huevos rancheros is okay in its flavor profile but is a little odd. It's an overengineered stack - pita with black bean puree, tomato, 2 different sauces, a piece of potato and an over easy egg. What I received was beans straight out of a fridge, an undercooked egg eith wilted coriander on top and with the 2 sauces this turned into a cold, sloppy mess.
With that being said the server volunteered to check and the kitchen did redo, and the 2nd time was significantly better. They did this without me telling them to and I do appreciate that.
Classic breakfast was alright, albeit most things overcooked, but the bread was the consistency of very stale bread.
2-3 employees would be standing at the host stand (the sign says seat yourself) rolling flatware while 1 server tended the entire facility's tables. My receipt says Manda is that 1 person.
With dirty plates, mangled and dirty menus, balloons tangling the ceiling fans, and customers waiting for 2 hours to get a simple breakfast, I recommend this facility enforce productivity ecumenically among the employees as there is plenty to do. 1 appeared overallocated while others appeared underallocated. Just the perception.
I think perhaps this shift was missing some simple quality control. I do appreciate my server apologizing and getting a redo on my dish, as well as being courteous. But I don't recommend...
Read morethis was my first time at this restaurant I would have gave it 4 stars but my drinks were not up to par I had originally ordered the Miami Vice but they did not have I had originally ordered the Miami Vice but they did not have the for it. So I end up ordering something Berry it had strawberry in it lime and a mint. Mind you I did not taste any alcohol whatsoever at all for the price of the drink I would have just ordered a flavored lemonade or something not alcoholic since that's what it taste like. Mind you I don't want it to be super strong but I wanted at least taste what I'm paying for and that's the alcohol. Prior to that I ordered a glass of wine which was Riesling. The reasoning was very good but put in a very small glass instead of a regular wine glass it was a very short glass so I felt like I was being cheated with that too. As for the service It was friendly but a tad slow considering it was a Sunday night and not very busy. I ordered the wedge salad which was very good nice and fresh. I also ordered bone-in wings with mango habanero sauce the sauce was very good but some of my wings were not cooked hard enough. I also ordered a half Italian sub with homemade chips. The sub was good but a little on the dry side. Overall I would say the best thing was the salad my best friend she ordered a house salad or garden salad it was very huge and well worth the money and seem to be better than the food that she ordered. I enjoy sitting on the patio which was nice. But as far as food it's not all that compared to other places that are similar or serve similar food but if you want a great salad I would say this would be a...
Read moreWe visited The Goat with our family around 10:10 pm. Unfortunately, after 10 pm the only option available was pizza and drinks, which we didn’t know in advance. The wait was extremely long — about an hour and a half for pizza. Every time we asked how much longer it would be, our server kindly told us “just 1–2 minutes,” but then another 20 minutes would pass with no food. Even our drinks (just simple Cokes) arrived about 20 minutes after ordering. The restaurant wasn’t very crowded, but there was only one server working. She was friendly, apologetic, and clearly trying her best, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the delay. By the time the first pizza finally came out, our kids were already falling asleep. One of them didn’t even get to eat because he was so tired and upset, and we had to leave with a crying child. The pizza itself was tasty, but they forgot (or maybe didn’t have) the olives that were supposed to be on it. The café atmosphere is nice, clean, and stylish, but the lack of staff was obvious. It’s also very frustrating to be told “just a minute” many times and then still wait another hour without food. To be fair, the waitress apologized sincerely, thanked us for waiting, and only charged us for one pizza even though we had ordered two. That gesture was appreciated, but overall, the long wait and poor communication ruined the...
