Beautiful and delicious cakes which is why they are getting 2 stars. Customer service is horrible!!!! I will start off by saying that my family and I have been customers of Allegretti's for over 10 years now. After the customers service from this past weekend and today I'm sad to no longer be one of their customers. We ordered a two tier beetle juice themed cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday. Everything was done via email. Initially in the email I requested one yellow tier with strawberry filling and the chocolate tier with strawberry filling. She replied asking if I wanted custard or whipped cream and I said whipped cream. After that When I asked Bailey if a deposit was needed I never heard from them again (which shame on me for not following up). Per the emails no time was established for pick up. I called on Saturday morning and they couldn't fond my cake then found it and said it had been ready since 9am. I said my sister will pick up around 4. They called me around 1 if we were still coming I said yes again sister will be there around 4. We get the cake came out beautiful but went to cut it and it was missing the strawberry filling. I take a picture and call and Denna was rude saying that the picture could have been from anywhere that there was nothing she could do unless I brought the cake back which I had mentioned was 2 tier. I said I had to feed it to my guest there was none left. So I was upset and said I was going to leave a review and hung up. She calls me back stating that she was going to go above and beyond and give me more back for the cake if I would have brought ot back but since I couldn't with the email of the picture she will credit me the difference. Today Bailey calls me stating that I wasn't clear about wanting strawberry filling. I said yes look at the email it states that I wanted it she then asked if custards or whip cream and that was that. She put me on hold with out saying anything so i thought she hung up and I called back and said she never hung up that she put me on hold. Then proceeded to say Deena said there was no price difference in the cakes with filling which is a lie because when you go into their bakery on the left side of the counter shows price differences for adding fruit fillings. Read morePlaced a cake order three weeks in advance and paid in full. Scheduled to pick up on mother's day. Called to inform them i was on my way for the cake to find bakery closed at arrival. Attempted to return next morning to find it closed again. Came back tues to be told the cake was thrown out. Advised employee the girl who answered the phne the day for pick up should hve told me they were about to close as i was unaware and what wld b the result of my cake. Employee offered to make another cake ($25 cake) at no cost considering the situation. I scheduled pick up for a Thursday. Only to b called by the owner wednesday to be told tht she wld nt b making another cake. Tht if i wanted another id hve to pay again $25. Mind you even after explaining that i did not find tht to b right after i called day of to advise i was on my way n the employee should hve told me thy were about to close early. Plus she stated they notated i did not call or show. Completely not true. The owner had a horrible attitude about the matter and was showing a very careless attitude. She did not want to help solve this in a correct manner. $25 was too much of a cost for her to understand the error in her service. She continued to repeat she wasn't going to eat the cost. Mind u this was a order i placed just to try the cake in order to place a larger cake order for an event. Her being the owner shld hve handled this better thn she did. She wld hve recovered her pety $25 in the order i wld hve placed anyways. But of course after the horrible experience n service i wld never again do business with them again. Of course im sure she cared less because i had paid in full in advance n she already had my money. So to her why bother being concerned about a negative experience caused to a customer. Their cannoli is what I considered to be the best in the world besides my Nana’s. However when it comes to customer service and orders it’s been a mess. I called today to confirm if I could order 20 unfilled cannoli with filling separate. They said it was no issue and that I could pick it up today. They quoted me $56 something over the phone. When I got there they said they could only do order of 12 or 25 unfilled, because that’s how the filling is separated into tubs. (Now as a regular I also know that one tub of filling never fills all12 shells, which also sucks!) The price for 24 became $70!! so I asked why was I told over the phone 20 unfilled would be no issue? I asked if they could just sell me the quoted 20 and give me the filling for “24”. No. I’ve seen other reviews saying they’re hard to work with when it comes to simple requests. I drove all the way out there, thinking I could pick up 20 because I was told they would, when they know they won’t sell them like that. I asked if they could fill a different tub with filling for 20, but no they’re prefilled tubs. It just seems like a local bakery would be willing and able to make these requests.
