Do you guys really want a legit review??? Wow!!! First of all a Miller Lite bottle is $4.50?! Are we in downtown?!? Ok whatever, we then ordered a chicken kabob with PITA bread but we got chicken (which wasn’t so bad) with “PITA” bread (please note the pic below). What in the world was that?! How is one supposed to bite into that?! I’ve had a lot of food outside and this was definitely NOT pita bread! I was not going to post anything on yelp about this place without giving it a second chance until the point when the bar-back, as we were leaving, said to us he heard from a couple of people that we were “yelp reviewers”. Don’t know if he was being sarcastic but if you order food and you don’t like it or it doesn’t show up even the way that you least bit anticipated, then what is wrong with returning it and not paying for something that is overpriced in the first place? The only reason I gave it any stars was the fact that the female manager who was there today was extremely nice and was cooperating. Although the staff there might be finicky, she may be the only reason I may give this place another try. It would be nice if they had more specials on their menu since they’re literally a new bar which may invite more ppl in.
Wouldn’t have wrote anything at all if it wasn’t for your cocky bar back who had to say I heard you guys were a couple of yelp reviewers. As a new business owner you shouldn’t really be mad when somebody gives you constructive criticism or take it personally and also you kept asking for our opinions about the food. Secondly I was not lying because I had asked the bartender 3 times how much was a miller lite and all three times she said 4.50 and I just figured that’s what the price was. Was going to give this place another try but after your reply I think I will take my money somewhere...
Read moreSo I recently went to this bar that I visited many times and had 2 beers and then asked the bartender if she would do a shot. She said yes and she picked a tequila called Los Amigos. My problem was that she charged me for the shot she took. I was never told that it would be my responsibility to pay for her shot. When I got the bill she said "you offered" and walked away. My exact words were "would you do a shot." Ive worked in the bar industry and even at this previous establishment did the same exact thing and was never charged for the bartenders shot before. Same with other bars. When I called the manager he said I insinuated that I would pay for her shot. I disputed that by saying I asked if she would take a shot not "can I buy you a shot". The manager said " well nothing is free and we dont make as much as those other bars you worked at ( Goose Island)" so I was left with a 44 dollar tab for 3 drinks. I used to like this place but will never visit this establishment again. The bartenders name is Iwona. Thats what I call female privilege. If it was a male bartender there is no way id be charged for him taking a shot. The only thing the manager said is what can we do better next time which I said tell the customer they will be charged for the shot the bartender takes which I think is definitely their responsibility ... but it didn't put any money back in my pocket. Very disappointed since they definitely made more than enough money for charging me 20 bucks per shot of tequila. I went there to de-stress but left angry and disappointed. Not cool. The manager could have easily refunded me that money or given me a voucher for a food item but he did no such thing....
Read moreDon’t get me wrong, the food and drinks are good here and it’s really nice inside. The service however, wasn’t that great the second time around. I went there for their bottomless mimosas brunch and our server was so slow and all she kept doing was breathing heavy like she was annoyed and complaining about being tired. The point of bottomless mimosas is to constantly refill them - she would wander around talking to other staff members while rolling her eyes and it would take 15-20+ minutes before we saw another mimosa. So many other places stay on top of their tables and constantly refill them. Then the last 20 minutes of the brunch she said they ran out of champagne. I’ve been to many places that have bottomless mimosas and this by far was the worst. You’re probably better off going into the city for brunch.
But if you’re looking for a place to stop and have a quick bite to eat and a few drinks, this would be a good option. I’ve gone here twice, my first experience was good! The lady at the bar was super attentive and friendly. It was just the bottomless mimosas brunch that didn’t meet my expectations but who knows maybe it was just that one server who made it a...
