If you want the short review: go to this restaurant. Excellent service, and the food is exceptional!
My girlfriend placed an online order for pickup. We got there at approximated pickup time, and were greeted by a cashier. We informed him of the order, and told us it would be a few more minutes before the order was ready. No problem. We sat and patiently waited for our order.
While we were chatting, we noticed about 20-25 min have passed, and we werenât called that our order was ready. Keep in mind, they were very busy with walk ins and other food orders. At the 30 min mark, I approached the cashiers and asked if our food was coming out soon. The cashier apologized for the wait and said it would be another few minutes.
While having this exchange, the owner/manager heard how long we were waiting for our food, and he was more upset than me or my girlfriend. He was genuinely displeased that we had waited that long. He went behind the counter and found or order ready to go. I believe there was a miscommunication between the kitchen, and they didnât alert the cleared that the order was ready.
While this wasnât a major inconvenience for me, the owner was extremely apologetic and went above and beyond to make this right. The owner rewarded our patience, and went above and beyond my expectations. The service was exceptional.
But let me tell you about the FOOD!!!! It was decadent. It was well worth the wait. Everything we ordered was delicious and made with care.
So if you were on the fence about Twin Gyros, buy with confidence. They earned a life long customer with...
Read moreThe only reason Twin Gyros gets one star is because Google will not let you leave a Zero star review. This place has absolutely NO appreciation for customers and knows NOTHING about customer service! I placed a delivery order for a Polish WITH fries & a drink. I was told since the order was a little less than $15, which is the minimum for delivery, I said "fine, add a cheesecake". My order came out to over $19 (BEFORE tip). When I received the order, there were NO FRIES. I called the restaurant and, almost immediately, the young man on the phone pushes back, NOT ONCE apologizing, saying "you didn't order fries...I repeated the order, etc. etc..". I stated to him "I would never pay $20 for a mere Polish, a drink and cheesecake." I explained to him the art of customer service, and making things right for the customer, and he rudely cut me off. I said, ok, if you're willing to receive a bad review over an order of small fries, then that's bad business decision making on your part. His reply: "yeah, ok"...then proceeded to hang up the phone. There were only 2 other times I've ordered from here (the 1st time, resulting in an undercooked corn dog and the 2nd time, no issues). I like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt and I understand that mistakes happen. What I absolutely will not tolerate is poor customer service. And this place reeks of it! Your money is better...
Read moreVery average food. Outdated looking joint. Reminds me of a 1980's style restaurant. With that said, I don't live in the area, but was visiting a friend who lives in this area. She had a taste for a gyros sandwich, and recommended we go here for lunch. We ordered two gyros "to go" and were lucky to get a smile here. Customer service was not there for us. The young man at the cash register didn't even say "thank you" and didn't even crack a smile. Maybe he doesn't like his job. IDK! The gyros were very average tasting. Nothing spectacular or memorable. The plus about the sandwich is they were loaded with tons of meat (about 1/2 lb.), but greasy. I have never had a greasy gyros before. My lips felt like they had olive oil -- really pretty disgusting. I used up a ton of napkins to wipe the oil off my lips/mouth. It took forever to get the oily taste out of my mouth. Ugh! The meat tasted average. The best part of the sandwich was the pita bread. It was fluffy, fresh and hot. Two gyros sandwiches (no fries/no drinks) -- $13 and change. Two people can easily spend over $20 (with drinks/fries). Easily! There are much better choices with a much better price point in the area (eg, Cane's, Portillo's, Buona Beef, Nami Sushi, Mariano's, Panera Bread, Chipotle, etc.). Will I be back here again? Would I recommend this place? Was it worth the money?...
