Read moreLet me just say — we’ve been here multiple times, and every single visit has been nothing short of exceptional, thanks to one unforgettable server, Rockelle, who has become a familiar face to us. She’s got this spark. She's truly charismatic, unbelievably attentive, and always quick on her feet. The kind of hustle that makes you stop mid-bite and say, “Damn, she’s good...” Never once did my drink dip below the halfway mark, and somehow every napkin, sauce, and extra I didn’t even know I needed magically appeared without asking. That’s real service. Already on the table before you can even turn your head to ask, it's like she reads your mind and cares while doing it. The food? Always hot, fresh, and on time. The French onion soup deserves its own paragraph — gooey, rich, and blanketed in the perfect layer of melty cheese. A total comfort classic done right. Also, huge props to the Motor City kettle chips — such a solid addition to the menu. Crispy, flavorful, and a great switch-up from the usual. But on a real note, if you've ever had the absolute pleasure of being served by her, you'd know exactly what I’m talking about. This woman is a force of nature. It's like she has rocket fuel in her shoes. She brings this electric energy, the kind that makes you feel like you’re the only table in the entire restaurant. And now I hear she’s moving? That’s a gut punch. My family and I have been lucky enough to have her wait on us several times, and each visit was made that much better because of her. Wherever she’s going next, they better count their lucky stars. Absolute gem,...
Read moreLoads of fun touches all over. Even the Women's restroom (with those genius tire sinks with nozzle faucets!) has a reversed "MEN" on the inside of the door to give you a moment to make you think "Did I???" Nope. You didn't. Just have a laugh. Another sign said "Will Eat for Food". Another thing I got a kick out of was the shop cloths for table napkins with hose clamp napkin ring that our waitress made sure to whisk off the table early in our meal. Did she think I'd want to take them home? (I have some. Don't need theirs. Made me laugh again.) The food was good. I had a Thai Salad. Not the best one I've ever had but ok. Nice mixed greens. Not a lot of chicken or won ton strips but filling enough. Probably would try something different next time. My partner had the meatloaf. Excellent crunch on the outside and moist and oniony and very salty inside. Again. Good. Not the best ever. The tater tots were very good....albeit super salty. I'm sure most restaurants over salt so they don't get accused of bland food. I get that. Decent craft beer selection. I wasn't disappointed with my Grand Armory Wheezin the Juice beer. New beer to me. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was continuously full. They told us the wait was 30-40 minutes but we were seated in less than 15 minutes. I suppose telling you the wait time is longer weeds out loads of people standing around waiting because the wait area is small and the bar seats were all full so the only other option was outside. This place seems to understand what makes a popular dining spot. We'd go again but maybe not...
