Panda Express — Restaurant in Novi

Caroline, charoline, Caroline, her name is one of these three I’m not sure I couldn’t read her name tag. She is the rudest person I have ever encountered and had I not been with my eight year old daughter I would’ve matched her energy and trust me she would have changed her nasty attitude she is a horrible person its panda express she takes her job way too seriously I’m with an eight year old they are supposed to close at 10 o’clock then she was being rude because They are running out of food. Every panda express lets you have a sample she’s telling me you’re out of teriyaki chicken so she didn’t allow my daughter to just try anything and she was being rude and you see but I’m a paying customer the next time I see her attitude better be fixed. Don’t worry I will be calling corporate and I will be on her manager to report her because the fact that she said they don’t give samples since Covid you’re telling me you haven't elevated your life since Covid girl get it together. I’m praying for you. But in the meantime, if you’re going to continue to work at a fast food restaurant makes change your attitude the customer is always right. Anyways, we didn’t end up eating at that panda express because of the horrible experience so we came to the one on 14 mile in royal oak and they are amazing. My daughter actually got to sample and they are incredible compared to the one in Novi she needs to go. She is awful. Picture I have a photo of her beware ladies...

Great service with descent food.

This location needs an engineer to reconfigure the entrance. People are forced to wait in or just outside the vestibule.

I was waited on promptly by a friendly employee who was able get my order. I ordered the Plate with fried rice, Orange Chicken, and the String Bean Chicken Breast. They were out of several items, but noticed that they were working on a large order with at least 10 Styrofoam containers holding.

The cashier was prompt, friendly and ensured that my order was complete.

The Lobby needed attention as most tables were not clean. The drink station was clean and organized.

The Orange Chicken was hot and a little spicier than usual, which made my eyes water. The String Bean Chicken Breast was hot and not bad. The fried rice was decent.

Going on a Saturday night is busy. Not only due to inside customers, but delivery and online orders as well.

The management team needs to solve for the awkward entrance to accommodate the customer flow. This restaurant has been here for awhile so this should've been taken care of. This location does not have a Drive Thru, so the focus is less than other locations in the area. There are missed opportunities for revenue.

One of the cash register was malfunctioning. Upon realizing the issue, the cashier told us that he will open another register to process my payment and called for the manager (he needed her permission). The manager came, sarcastically interrupted the worker who was reporting the issue, and proceeded to troubleshoot the register. She was clearly disrespecting the worker which made the roomful of customers feel very awkward. We were just standing there watching her checking the register cables for a few minutes, all the while the dinner rush line was piling up. After a few minutes, the manager claimed that it was my payment method that was the issue. After we informed her that the payment method worked fine a few minutes ago, she disgruntledly opened the second register which processed my payment fine. The manager disappeared to the back talking to herself in a foreign language and without a single explanation. The cashier then apologized to us for the wait. I felt so badly for the cashier and disgusted by how the manager was treating her subordinates and customers. Even if she was having the worst day possible, her behavior was very unprofessional. We'll not be returning to this branch again and since there's no Panda Express nearby, we'll have to find another...
