Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea — Restaurant in Novi

I used to come here ALL the time and get the joy nut bar because they are SO GOOD but have recently stopped going as much because they NEVER have it in stock sometimes for weeks. I noticed they had even taken it off the menu in the drive thru but still have it listed on their general menu. I went through the drive through today to see if they had any and it looks like a new girl was running the drive thru. She said they had some and handed me pecan bars. She tried to convince me they were joy nut bars and that they don’t sell pecan bars but clearly they weren’t what I usually get. The website clearly states the joy nut bar is a bar that has coconut and chocolate in it of which this dessert item clearly did not match the profile. I didn’t want to argue with her about it so I paid for something I didn’t want. How do the workers not even know their own menu? Trying to convince an old regular about an item they used to get ALL the time that they are indeed giving you a product you KNOW is wrong… yeah try again. It was clearly a pecan bar. Too many new hires that don’t know what they are doing. In general the food is pretty good but the drinks are sub par. Wish this place was a little more reliable otherwise I might come...

Could not get no help at all. Other people walked in and got greeted and helped but not me! I was only a doordasher but when I said good morning no one responded they all just ignored me. One of the women looked but it wasn't a friendly look. I felt just that it was bad customer service (mind you the store was not busy) it was 8:30am. My first dash of the morning. Question is what if I actually was a customer I mean you got to have more courtesy to ALL people not just those you WANT to speak too. I honestly felt like it was a race issues because 10 minute of sitting there a woman of their race came in and she was a dasher too and was greeted respectfully and STILL no one asked me if I needed help or anything. Call me sensitive or whatever but I believe in respect period and I do not recommend this store AT ALL unless you okay with being ignored upon arrival no matter if your a dasher or customer...I'm not with that it's 2022 almost 2023 and all these so called adult women in here can't greet someone that walks in but greets people they want to greet it's your job to greet ALL not those you want to greet ...if you can't greet all and be equal you don't need go be working in the customer service...

I went into this coffee place the other day because I like to get my studying done usually in cafes. I was there for hours and it had one of the nicest and most friendly atmospheres I’ve seen compared to many different places. I got only a couple drinks and a cookie to hold me over while I studied and the cookies were freshly baked and the coffee is some of the best I’ve ever had. The workers there were super friendly and were helpful and nice to me when I had questions about menu items. I even asked if they could watch my stuff while I went to the bathroom and I came back and they were close by it when I came back. It was very nice to see a group of workers who were nice to go above and beyond with the customer and were enthusiastic about their job while also providing good quality food and coffee. I will definitely be returning again. Will now be one of my favorite...
