One Star Review for McDonald's Haleiwa: My Single Visit Reveals Deep-Rooted Problems
Given the high volume of customers this location serves, I would be furious and seriously consider terminating the entire staff if I were the franchise owner.
My recent visit to the McDonald's in Haleiwa was a shocking experience, revealing a cascade of problems that suggest deep-rooted issues with ownership, management, brand integrity, and customer service. Despite being my first time at this location, the profoundly negative experience compels me to provide a detailed review.
Upon entering the establishment, I was immediately met with the unpleasant surprise of being denied access to the restroom. Despite being a paying customer, I was informed that the facilities were out of order. This excuse seemed highly suspect, especially considering that other patrons reported similar experiences in online reviews. Denying customers access to a necessity is not only inconvenient, but it also raises concerns about hygiene and overall cleanliness.
The ordering process was equally frustrating. The self-service kiosks were not updated to reflect the lunch menu, even though breakfast hours had ended. This led to confusion and delays, as customers were forced to wait in line to place their orders at the counter, with one cashier. The staff seemed overwhelmed and ill-prepared to handle the situation, further exacerbating the problem.
When I finally received my order, it was incorrect. I was given a regular Quarter Pounder with Cheese instead of the Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder I had ordered. To add insult to injury, I was told that I would have to pay an additional $3 to receive the correct sandwich. This lack of accountability and disregard for customer satisfaction is simply unacceptable.
The overall ambiance of the restaurant was also subpar. The interior was uncomfortably warm, and the seating was cheap and flimsy. This lack of attention to detail creates an environment that feels more like a run-down fast-food joint than a global brand.
While this was my first and only visit to this McDonald’s, it left a lasting negative impression.
The issues I encountered were not isolated incidents, but rather indicative of a larger pattern of mismanagement and customer neglect. I hope that this review serves as a wake-up call for the owners and management of this establishment, prompting them to take immediate action to address these...
Read moreI went down to eat there. I actually ate and then went to take some pictures at the famous shrimp places across the street. I did not go to eat since I am allergic to shrimp. but I saw the full place and I went to take some pictures for my instagram account. When I returned they had taken my car. They towed him to a parking lot where he got there. You must pay to have it delivered to you. That happened to me on a Wednesday and the driver of the Uber told me that so far this week he had taken 10 people to the same place. then it seems to me that they take advantage of the tourist. Even when you spend your money eating there. apart the warning notices are super small in order to steal the tourist.
Bajé a comer allí.
Read moreWe also had the same experience as every below ! Worst Macca's experience and ruined our holiday mood. We bought some food at Maccas and decided to scout the area quickly as well saw some food trucks and they towed our car away. Not only did we have to pay our uber to get there but also $175 to the guy who was there to release the car - mind you he was super dodgy. We told him that we had dined at Maccas, even had a receipt to prove. We were trying to negotiate as we thought it was very unfair. He said he's only there to collect the money, he doesn't know the driver not doesn't have his number. I asked "what do you mean, you guys aren't together as a company? And why is his tow truck parked here then and you have keys to lock up this whole place " He then told me that they are together but he doesn't have the drivers number. What a lie. Anyways they also had a dodgy ATM machine through a side door which I refused to use. We were left with no choice and went to the bank across to withdraw some cash. As we were preparing to handover the cash, he had a smirk that he was trying to hide. He knows he's a scam and he's proud of it. Disgusting! I'm telling all friends from overseas to never visit this maccas. The maccas staff don't care at all too. They just give you a slip of paper with a number to call...
