Went here today with my friend this afternoon. I found a wallet by the soda fountain machine and turned it over to the taller cashier girl there. Guy sitting behind me turned out to be a friend from work, he and his girlfriend leave than come back in and tells me he lost his wallet. I told him i found one and gave it to a worker. He and his girlfriend go to cashier and now no one knows anything about a lost wallet. I'm sitting down watching from the back and it looks like there's a problem so I walk over and my friends girlfriend tells me that they are denying that a wallet got turned in. I point to the girl and tell her I gave the wallet up to her and magically she remembered the wallet. She goes over and pulls it out of a back pack that I'm assuming is hers. Tell me why an employees back pack is where lost and found items are stored. Why did you guys think this was a smart move knowing that the guy who found it was still in the restaurant. So I'm curious to know how often do tourists get ripped off and how often does lost items ever make it back to the owner. Lost by someone and found by and now owned by Ted's workers. . . Is that how you guys roll? Messing with a tourist is jacked up but stealing from one local is asking for plenty trouble. I messaged all my friends and were done with this place. Same girl screwed my order up twice and charged some random guy for something my other friend ordered to. Fix your restaurant!!! If you think this is a fake post than go check your cameras out for today Sunday April 7 at around 3-4:15pm. Look for her going into her back pack that's behind register closest to the kitchen. Should have two guys and one girl standing in between the last register and the bar area. This is Hawaii not the mainland. . . Join in on the Aloha or get...
Read moreMy husband and I were really excited to try Teddy's based off the really good reviews but our experience fell flat. The burgers were flavorful but we got zinged by hidden fees that made it feel like a "buyer beware" situation. We paid $40 for two burger combos that included the Kailua Burger for me (very soggy and wet but flavorful) and the Kaneohe Burger for my husband (he thought the flavor was good but couldn't taste the garlic or sauce), two small garlic fries, and a small fountain drink each. As we were eating, I asked my husband if he could taste garlic in our fries, which he couldn't. I looked at our receipt to see if we had indeed ordered garlic fries (which we had) and discovered we paid .99¢ for garlic seasoning and $1.99 for garlic butter...except - there was no garlic to be found in our fries fresh or otherwise. I went up to the order taker to ask how the garlic fries are prepared and he let me know the fries are dipped in garlic butter after they are fried regularly and then they are sprinkled with garlic seasoning and parmesan...so we basically paid $6 to add a butter "bath" to our fries that were then possibly sprinkled with some light garlic powder. Those charges seem excessive for what we got. I know it's Hawaii and a vacation mecca but if you advertise garlic butter fries, I was expecting something like the garlic butter from the shrimp trucks, which I would have happily paid $10 for as that is some serious deliciousness! Anyhow - overall an ok experience...just beware of the up charges as we didn't feel we had a $40...
Read moreI've been here numerous times in the past and enjoyed it enough to bring my date for good food and live music on the lanai. Four drunk guys at the bar, unfortunately, wrecked our plans by harassing customers. Even more unfortunately, the bar staff continued to serve them. Drunks harassing patrons with loud, vulgar comments about the the lady sitting alone made our stay most unpleasant! We canceled our order and left in disgust, after explaining the problem to the bartender. When I called the restaurant, later, there was no manager to talk to (really??).
I followed up with Teddy's corporate office and received a call back from Caleb. It sounds like the abusive people were removed shortly after we left. Teddys was apologetic about the incident and explained that they were working with staff at that location to help eliminate this kind of problem in the future. I hope they're successful, since I'd like to go back to the good Teddy's I knew before. Finally, kudos to Caleb for taking the time to call me back. I appreciate the professional and productive discussion we had and I feel heard rather...
