I am a pharma rep. Had an office call about 10AM and ask if I could bring food last second, I said sure. Office placed the order at this pickelmans around 10:30AM for delivery at 11:45. I called and paid over the phone, just under $300. Food was good and office was happy. However, one salad was missing chicken, and one sandwich was missing entirely. No other issues though. No big deal.
Finished lunch, went back to this location, and said politely “hey no biggie, but these items were missing, can I get a remake, I’ll pay for it” and the girl (didn’t even bother to check her name tag) says “okay sooooo I personally checked this order along with my manager and it was all there when it went out” and then looks at me. Okay? I was there after it was delivered, and I’m telling you there was a missing sandwich and the salad was missing chicken. I stammered for a second taken aback and reiterated I would pay, it wasn’t a big deal. She takes my receipt with a hateful attitude, goes in back, and says okay we will remake them. Then when the food was done she brought it out and said “hey next time when it’s a big order like that try to give us 2 hours notice.” I told her it was last second, that isn’t normal to do last second orders of that size, and she said “I get it, but we appreciate notice.” Okay.
Listen, I get it. People want to get free food and hustle the system, or complain about any little thing. I’m just an intermediary here trying to make my offices happy, and I came in saying I would pay, it wasn’t a problem, and I was met with a snarky attitude and a belief that I was lying or trying to get something that I didn’t when I should have gotten it the first time. I was nothing less than polite, and her attitude and then request to give them more notice (when it was a last second lunch anyways) really rubbed me the wrong way. Not necessary. Just some basic tact would have been...
Read moreThe one in Saint Charles is much better. We moved to O’Fallon and just tried this one out tonight and it was not a great experience. We always loved the service and food at the Saint Charles location so we thought this would be the same. We walked in and all the employees were on their phones and talking about personal stuff loud enough for everyone to hear. We then go to order and the young man didn’t give my husband the gravy that goes with Italian beef. My husband asked if he could have that with it. The young man said, “yeah I guess”. Then he proceeded to give him this tiny little plastic thing with it in it. Not like the ones they give you in Saint Charles and also not enough for your sandwich let alone for you to be able to dip it in. My husband asks for a larger one and the young man proceeded to get an attitude and tell him that’s all I can give you. So you mean to tell me that you pay $7 for a sandwich and can’t even get the sauce it comes with?! We’ve never had this issue at the other location. My daughter got soup that was cold and lumpy and my sandwich was also not great. Just overall crappy service and food. Will not be returning to this location which is sad because that means If we do want it we have to drive 20 minutes out of our way to get it. We were regulars at the Saint Charles location and ate there at least twice a week. So to me that says a lot about the employees that are at the...
Read moreI am a regular. I am always satisfied with my orders, whether I’m picking up, or getting delivery. The workers are all very friendly, and my order quality is always consistent. I spend a lot of money here (I always order more than one sandwich and I always try to tip at least 18%), and it’s because it truly is better quality than anywhere else in the area that offers my personal favorite, chicken salad sandwiches. Their sandwiches are filling and delicious. Sometimes I order chips as a side, too, and even they are better than other chips. Their lemonade is also very tasty. Their chocolate chip cookies are also pretty good, I just don’t typically order a drink or desert. If you want a higher quality option that’s actually worth the money, come here. Even though I only get the same thing, I know they have a lot of great menu options that can accommodate many...
