Checked this place out because we wanted a good burger and fries and it has decent reviews. We get there.... the speaker is busted and almost comically hard to hear what was being said back to me. Then at the window, the attendant started off really nice until I confirmed that our total was almost $40 for 2 double cheeseburger meals, with fries and a drink each. He confirmed with someone in the back so I gave him my card to pay, and then get attitude and a receipt being thrown back at me to "check myself". So whatever we paid. Then get a number to pull around to get our food. He said where so fast that I confirmed with him where and again attitude and still walked away from the window as he told me where to go. So pulled around and waited, got our food and went home. The food was mediocre to say the least for the price paid. Definitely a frozen burger patty, small drinks to pay $3 for each, and the fries where ok. Honestly, we should have went to Portillos for the price and quality. Also, Arby's because their curly fries are WAY better especially for $5 for a cup of fries. Will not be going back based on...

I have been supporting and frequenting this place for years now. Their greek chicken pita is phenomenal and I actually crave it. I have always loved their crinkle cut fries as well...even tho I don't love the prices. Well today I learned this has all changed. I ordered the same meal which is over $15 (no drink included). The pita was mainly lettuce, the fries were old cold and greasy and now they are fresh cut fries minus the fresh! They also give u a lot less than you had with the crinkle cut fries. I called and spoke to the female manager on duty right now because I wanted to let them know I'm a loyal customer and the food I paid for was subpar at best and she didn't care. She stated this is what it is going forward. Wow! So less food, and costs stay the same and lack of freshness. I said maybe they should at least post something letting people know the fries have changed because loyal customers are not going to be happy. I gave 2 stars because the taste of the pita is still great just less chicken...

I really want to like this place because it is close and I like their menu. I have tried several times and am always disappointed, not because the food is bad though. I used the drive through each time (4 times to be exact) I tried their gyro twice, a burger with greek fries, and a beef with regular fries. No matter what time I go, weekdays or weekend, I wait a Really Long Time, definitely not fast food, pay a pretty high price compared to other "fast food" places, and the food is Always warm to cold. What am I waiting so long for if they are not cooking my food fresh? It would be hot if they were cooking my food fresh, you would think. It is a minimum 10 minutes sitting there and on my way home, 6 blocks away, I, of course, eat my fries. Luke warm. My sandwich is wrapped in foil but in the 10 minutes it takes for me to unwrap it, it is cold. It's a shame but for these prices ($25 to feed 2 people) I will definitely drive out of my way to Gyros Express. Food is Much Tastier and is...

Where should I start! A lot to unpack! So many things wrong with this place. Drive through started with a little attitude, should have known then. I ordered a Maxwell street Polish with fries and a Pepsi. Rolled up to the window, waited 5 minutes to pay, and another 5 minutes to get my food. Didn’t receive my receipt, thought it was in my bag. Needed to verify my drink order was right. Asked for a medium but received a large. Pepsi was flat! Also Maxwell street Polish should be made with Sport peppers, never heard of a place making it without. Worst Polish sausage I ever had. I actually don’t ever want to see another Maxwell street polish in my life due to this sad, disappointing, miserable food and service I received at Skippys. Eat there at your own risk!

First time here, but a long time lover of gyros and these type of Greek hot dog joints. Too busy to stop and my fave spot for gyros and I just happens to have some time as I was in the Oak Brook area. Gyro disappointed. They don’t heat the pita on the griddle with a bit of oil—they steam it in a pot. The “large fries” is served in a 12oz paper cup—I wonder what the “small” size is served in (mouthwash cup?). Worst of all is the gyro meat wasn’t cooked well. Purpose of having a gyro broiler is to slightly char the meat for that enhanced flavor. This place barely let the meat spin a time or two to just heat the meat to a temperate level. I only ate half of it. Didn’t ask for a refund. Just discarded my food and went on my way.

So let's start with it is 96 degrees out, the ac has quit working in the building and these dedicated artisans are inside taking orders and shaving gyros like it's their life's purpose. That is only to he topped by their gyro dinner which is a gyro platter, side of of onions, tazaiki, a full order and a half of fries (lots of fries) and a side salad with a sauce that I'm positive contains something addictive because it was amazing. Take all that and make it 14.99 and kaaachow you got something amazing. P.S. I forgot to take a picture of the food because it was so delicious that I could not stop eating.
